Interesting historical note about this picture for Washington fans/followers/supporters, Sonny Jurgensen was the starter in Philadelphia when this was taken and the guy directly behind him (#16) is Norm Snead Washington's 1st round pick of 1961 (pick #2). Snead was a two-time Pro Bowl selection in 1962 and '63 for Washington but was ultimately traded to the Eagles for Jurgensen in 1964. The rest, as they say, is history!View attachment 349566
There is a great story on how this famous photo happened. These quarterbacks had to travel on the off day to make this session. I only cared about Sonny. I am not sure what magazine ran this story. Have a great Christmas and let’s be thankful for what we have. Guy
I'm sure that something like this might seem strange in Washington Football circles, but sending the message that you stay in your lane because we don't operate that way is deemed "normal" in other football environments.
The Broncos would face an $85 million dead cap hit in 2024 by releasing Wilson before March 17 of next year, Replacing Wilson’s existing cap hit with the dead cap number would add $32 million to Denver’s 2024 cap number, putting them more than $51 million over the cap. To do that, they would have to convince a team to miraculously trade for their starting quarterback and his large salaries in 2024 and 2025 to the tune of $86 million. Denver to Ron Rivera, "if you're still there in February, give us a call!"
