I think we made a mistake by not jumping in...but oh well.
The 35 mil is a part of the 160 mil not in addition too .Daniel Jones... four-year deal worth $160 million with another $35 million available through incentives. It's a minimum 40M AAV that could get as high as 48.75M if he meets those incentives.

Not sure why they didn't go after Carr? That’s a lot of money for mediocrity. Wow.

I was going to guess it would be 30ish a year, tells you what I know. He only threw 15 TDs last year. TH threw 12 in 9 games. Just saying. To the Giants credit, last season Daniel Jones played better than he ever had previously, and didnt particularly have an amazing supporting cast around him.
On the other hand, he has proven to be the third best qb in the NFC East, and it’s hard to see him getting that much better.
It’s a lot of money for an average qb, but Its also kind of the going rate.
With the Giants and Daniel Jones agreeing to a new deal, his contract numbers have been revealed. The new deal is worth $160 million over four years, a source tells Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer. Jones can also make an additional $35 million in incentives. The 35 mil is a part of the 160 mil not in addition too .
Agreed, but it is not without precedent! let us remember that all of this guaranteed money began with Kirk Cousins who at the time was the highest-paid QB (30M)That’s a lot of money for mediocrity. Wow.

I think we are close to the day when a qb will get 75 million a year. We will be there in 10 years. Mahomes or Rodgers is 50 million right? Then, it will be 100 million.CBS is reporting a different contract structure , most of the guaranteed money Is bonus and the incentives push it to 160 mil . It was structured so they could franchise barkley . Heard it on CBS sports radio from the guy who broke the Carr story
Not going to argue the details because there are apparently different reports, let's wait and revisit this when things settle and there's more clarity.CBS is reporting a different contract structure , most of the guaranteed money Is bonus and the incentives push it to 160 mil .
