How would our best 52 man roster stack up against the other great franchises?
S.F.
Raiders
Pittsburgh
Patriots (middle finger)
NYG (I guess) Never had a dynasty but have always been in the conversation.
Bears Never had a dynasty but, could probably put out a strong 52 over the course of their existence.

Good list except 2 glaring players omitted Roger and Doressett.
No doubt those two should be on every list as should Lilly, but he went just with guys he saw - 1990 to present

That would be interesting, but very "homerish" too. I see alot of "defending the flag" in that thread. Take the Pats for example. Dynasty in this era, but how many great players have they really have in their history? Cowboys and Steelers have multiple great eras to choose from. Pats have had one great run and not much else so I can't uimagine they are anywhere near as good. Green Bay would be another top of the list team IMO

I think we would be right there with the Steelers, Viking, Raiders and 49er's for the best starters, buy I doubt anyone could match a full roster with us

Excellent call on the Vikings. They have had some outstanding players in their time

Joe Kapp lives....
Tarkington was kinda fun in the 60's

Don't see many teams that can go 3 deep at most skill positions like Dallas can

Pretty awesome talent, when really good NFL players like Galloway and Glenn don't even make the top 5 WRs of your all time team.

Heck with Galloway and Glenn, Owens may not be in top 5

That depends on how you view tenure. As with Deion, if it's life long Cowboys, then no, but if it's the best to ever put on a Star, T.O. is a starter

I know you aren't putting him above Irvin. So you put him above both Bob Hayes and Drew Pearson? His best Cowboy year in 2007 was pretty good, but I'm not so sure about that.

tenure for me.

Bob Hayse coulda had 30/40 more sure TD's if he hadn't dropped the ball. His hands were better towards the end but you could flip a coin as the ball came down in his first 4 or 5 years. I'm still not sure he ever took his hands outta his pants during the Ice Bowl. Bobby wanted no part of Green Bay.

Irvin & Drew would be a pretty formable twosome and Dez's talent alone say's he'll replace Pearson soon if not already

I had it as 1. Irvin. 2.Pearson. 3. Hayes 4. Dez. 5. Hill. I was going on Cowboy career. I'm not a TO hater either. Of course Dez will likely pass all but Irv

If you have a top 20, then no way do you leave off Harvey Martin. You don't. You just don't.
