NFL Fix the Franchises: CHAT

We are drafting 24 players from 2 franchises....

We will have a random draft order where you will select 2 franchises. If you select one of the best you will have one of the worst as your other franchise.
*As soon as you pick your franchise you will pick one FRANCHISE PLAYER from one of the two teams you selected.

There won't be "2 drafts", since you get the "Face of the Franchise" we aren't doing the "pick 8" thing... Once you pick your Franchise and the face of it, round 2 starts the player picks and it's no holds barred... People can use their divisional pick to steal from your franchises...


1. You will select 4 from each of your franchise for a total of 8, any player from said franchise is available to you. No restrictions on years played.

2. The other 16 players will be selected from any of the teams in the 8 current NFL divisions and you must pick 2 players per division from any team in the division...You can only select one player per team, you cannot select 2 players from the same team. Division picked players have to have played 1970-2006... You decide who and when to pick. You can also select players from someones franchise team if they have not already been picked in the first draft.

The franchises will be selected as your first official pick, which means the first player picked will be the first pick of the second round... You may trade picks, players, and/or drafting positions but you can not trade divisions nor your divisional pick player(s)...

Players must have played for 3 years for a team to be counted as a member of the team...

If a player from a division and is eligible for another division you may switch the players division.

1 question. If there are still players on one of our teams that we like later in the divisional draft, can we draft them as one of our division players? I know we couldn't draft 2 divisions players, since you can't draft them from the same team.

Yes you can. I think that would make sense.

By the way thanks for setting it up Shane... Dash had practice yesterday and I didn't get back until 8 and didn't get a chance to come in here very much...

Do you y'all want to pick the franchise player in Round 2 or in Round 1 when you select your teams?

Well that answers my question. So there is stealing all throughout the draft then...ok gotchya

Only problem I didnt think about it is current players that started their career after 2006 are eligible to you if they are on your team but no one else, do you want to change that or keep it the same?

One thing that could be tweaked:

I'm still pretty confused, but one thing that should be done is that when you pick your 1 or 2 teams or whatever, you should have to pick your face of the franchise at the same time. That way, when the 2nd round starts, the person who got the last pick of the franchises gets the first pick of players in round two. You can't have the guy picking the first franchise also picking the first divisional player as well

That was the update, we don't get 8 free picks... You select you're Franchise and it comes with the second Franchise already connected... Once you make that selection with your first pick you also list the face of your franchise pick like UK was saying... Once round 2 begins the drafting begins... You can draft any player from any team from 1970-2006 with a divisional pick, or you can select any player from your 2 Franchises history... Just know that if someone takes your franchise players before you do that's their choice... The only way to stop them is for you to pick them first...

Keep that the same... It allows a small Saftey net for guys like Nos who are scared to lose Sam Bradford...

The player only has to play for that team for 3 years to be eligible to draft for your franchise and I think we are going to tweak this idea and just have one draft altogether.
