Game Thread: NFL Draft Day 3 : Rounds 4 to 7

Would like to target Desir with our 1st 4th rd pick, Colvin with our second, then go for BPA the rest of the draft, taking a hard look at guys that are hurt with some serious upside.

Agree on Desir. I think we can get Colvin in the 5th round though.

He doesn't have the power that Sproles has throughout his body so I don't think he offers you quite as much in the run game, an area I still think Sproles has been underused in the last couple seasons. He isn't the route runner that Sproles was coming into the NFL. Sproles' head for the game is very impressive as well and I don't know if Thomas is or ever will be that kind of guy either. Maybe when he grows up.

Now if you want to kind of just generalize and just say that Thomas should/can be a move piece in the NFL that plays on STs and works in the passing game, ok. I don't think he'll be as valuable of a move piece as most people do but that's me. I'd be careful about projecting him as one of the next Sproles. Sproles is ridiculously special and I don't think Thomas projects to be able to do a number of things that he can do.

I was thinking more of his pass catching ability out of the backfield that Sproules brings.

Unless I've overlooked the Mettenberger character concerns, he HAS to go in this round. I'm anxiously waiting to see where Logan Thomas winds up. I don't want either in the NFCW unless it's with the 49ers.

Keith McGill is still my favorite player left.

Not loving what the Redskins are doing as far as players go. Positions are ok but the players would be disappointing to me if I were a Redskins fan knowing what I know about their team and these players.
