Not now...he's just part of the NFL drug protocol, so something could happen if there is another positive...it looks like he drank a lot of water, which Joe Thomas says happened to him and a lot of other NFL guys so it gives off a bad stigma to guys coming into the league.

It's not the reason he fell either....that is all on his shoulder with perhaps some on his behaviour at the combine.
I think all three combined to drop him down. He was considered by most to be among the top 10 players in this draft. None of those three things cannot be overcome though. I hope he comes in and falls under Bowman's influence. That dude is an incredibly hard worker.
I don't buy the too much water story though. Guys have been gulping water for years trying to dilute whatever is in their system. Everyone knows this trick and that is why the NFL considers it a failed test. I just love his game though.

Thomas is the first Stanford Defensive player drafted this highly ever or at least in the common draft era.
And there is a reason for that which we've discussed earlier in the thread.

true, everyone will be bigger than him, so that is a legit concern.
He is only 21 though so perhaps he can continue to grow some more.

The problem is, in the NFL you can get tagged for it, piss again and if clean, you're on your way and nothing is said. These college guys leave their samples, go on their way back to where they came from and boom....their sample is announced as 'diluted.'

The same effin' league is doing one thing to its vets and something else to these rookies. It's complete garbage.

Not sure if anyone saw this but it is being reported that the 49ers might draft a Tight End with an upcoming pick and that Vance McDonald is on the trading block

I'd like to see what McDonald can do with an NFL-caliber QB throwing to him. I don't want to give up on him yet.

Man. I'll bet Joe Mixon is wishing he hadn't knocked that big mouth chick out. He may not get picked at all. He should have just walked away.

Kamara went to the Saints after they traded up to the Niners pick

oh well, but do LIKE the trade for a 2nd in 2018.

Was thinking a 4th for a 2018 3rd, but i guess you take a deal when you can get it. Else we'd have too many picks left.

Apparently, Witherspoon can't tackle chit, worse, he's afraid to tackle?! But in the scheme we're going to, guess he won't be asked to do a lot. Just stick to your man and knock the pass down.

I love gaining an extra 2nd and 3rd next year all for just dropping down 1 spot in the 1st round. If we don't get Cousins by then we have ammo to zero in on a QB prospect. If we do get him we could be in spot to trade down again and keep stacking up picks. Better teams are usually the ones trading for extra picks over players.

And there is a reason for that which we've discussed earlier in the thread.

It was posted that their defensive players drafted highly fail, how can they fail if it doesn't happen was my point. I'm not saying that Stanford defensive players have always turned into quality players but to say every Stanford player drafted highly fails is misleading because it hasn't happened (they haven't been drafted highly).

Just remember that the 9ers are rebuilding and not looking for a playoff run. It will make more sense then.

Ugh someone please tell me ESPN is wrong and that we didn't trade back into the end of the 3rd round for C.J. Beathard. We could have just taken someone like that at the start of 4th round. Better QB's are even still on the board. Damn, Lynch was doing so well in his first draft.
