Please be there @ 30 for us!

I think the Cowboys, Bengals, and the Lions need secondary help. I don't know if he falls all the way to #30. That would be grand theft if Jenkins is available @ #30.

If we grabbed Hill, I'd be game with grabbing someone like Coale in the 3/4th round. If we resign Morgan he can start with Hill rotating in, then Coale can be a slot rotation, and let them develop. Imagine having Hill and Davis running go routes, that would leave Crabtree in the middle - if he could just reliably catch he might get some YAC.

Eisen just revealed that Griffen's NFLN "official" time is a 4.41. No lists yet, though

As soon as this stuff is overwith today I will organize the numbers and start putting out some lists so people have a better idea across the board where each player stacked up.

Owusu across the board right now, though:

4.31 and 4.33 "unofficially"
19 reps
40 1/2 inch vertical
10 feet, 9 inch broad jump

Barrows is being a fool now for stating the "obvious". Many weeks ago I predicted that at 6'5 he was going to run in the 4.4s. His performance today showed that he actually ran closer to a 4.2 mark than the 4.4 mark. I'm sorry but you cannot teach that type of size and speed. You're not going to find that in the 2nd round. Even before this combine there were conversations of him landing in the 2nd round. Sooo Barrows, are you saying that after today's performance his stock remained the same!!?? Simply put, he just worked himself in conversation as being the 1st or 2nd receiver that will be drafted come April. Forget the 1st round Barrows, if you want to make a shocking predication why don't you say something like "Hill will be the 1st or 2nd player that will be drafted at his respective position come April". Or say something like Hill just worked himself into the top 10-15 conversation...

Hill can catch the ball, he could jump, now we know he can outrun them all. His only downfall was that Gtech ran an offense that somewhat hindered his development (knowing and mastering the art of running executing the tree route). Is that a total handicap? Does he have the agility/athleticism to learn how to run precise NFL routes? We all know he mastered the 9 route in college - he has an insane average of about 30 yards per catch or something???

yep, everything else being 'equal', of course we want the bigger, faster WR, but lets make sure things ARE 'equal'?

one of the basic things is route running and just read a blog saying he's not good at it. you've mentioned it here too so agree with the question......just how bad is it? if its bad enough that he needs two years to 'get functinoal', doesn't make sense to draft 'measurables'?

if he's not so bad and just needs refinement, then ok. we're not helping ourselves drafting a WR who can only run one type of route.

Another tall wideout with pre-combine buzz, Miami's Tommy Streeter, ran 4.34, 4.38 unofficially.

^ I think this guy just jumped into the 1st round conversation.

DeVier Posey's 1.45 10-yard split time is amazing!

Liking Lamichael James 4.37 with a poor 1.60 start...means he made it up on the back end of the sprint with a bad start..---> he could have run even faster with a decent start..---> the guy has possible 4.25-4.30 speeeed...is my projection. JMHO

Stephen Hill's "official" NFLN time was a 4.36. Travis Benjamin and Chris Owusu also officially had 4.36, according to Rich Eisen just now. Still no official list as far as I know.

Michael Floyd in the 4.4s is really, really surprising to me. He's not that fast on the field. I'll take a WR that times slow but is fast on the field, over a WR that times fast but is slow on the field.

Stephen Hill's 40 times are ridiculous, but not unexpected. And a 1.2 split? Are you kidding me? Though I don't know that he's a first round prospect, yet. But for me the WR spots after Blackmon and Sanu are wide open at this point.

Sanu's time doesn't surprise me. I knew he'd run in the 4.5/4.6 range. He's not a quick-twitch athlete so his release isn't all that fast, but once he gets going he's hard to spot, like another poster said.

B.J. Cunningham and DeVier Posey's times are pretty nice. Tommy Streeter running in the 4.3s at 6'5" is ridiculous.
