Hill with a 4.31 second time. Floyd with a 4.44. Mayock is talking about teams going back and evaluating Hill after those times. "He's opened up eyes. Is he going to be a first round pick? I can't tell you right now."

Fast times this year. In the WO Group 1, 4 guys are unofficially under 4.40 already. (Givens, Graham, Benjamin and Hill).

Blackmon and Jeffery aren't running.

First group of WRs are done. If there is no 2nd time or a 10-yard split for a specific player and a specific run, then that means they didn't show it.

NFL Network Unofficial WR 40/10 yd times - 1st run (10-yard), 2nd run (10-yard)

2011 WR official average: 4.53 - 2011 WR official best: 4.37 (Clyde Gates)

Joe Adams - 4.53, 4.44
Tim Benford - 4.56 (1.65), 4.53
Travis Benjamin - 4.37 (1.58), 4.32
Justin Blackmon - DNR
Jarrett Boykin - 4.69 (1.58), 4.69
Lavon Brazill - 4.45, (The screen went black for his 2nd run)
Ryan Broyles - DNR
Greg Childs - 4.56, 4.50
Danny Coale - 4.40, 4.40
Josh Cooper - DNR
Juron Criner - 4.63, 4.59
B.J. Cunningham - 4.47, 4.57
Pat Edwards - DNR
Michael Floyd - 4.42 (1.57), 4.44 (23.3 MPH top end speed)
Jeff Fuller - DNR

Junior Hemingway - 4.50 (1.53), 4.50

Pozz, thoughts on Hill's time? I think the 10-yard split is what surprised me the most. If that's accurate, it's phenomenal. Maybe length helps with that? A quarter of a second faster though?

Calvin had a 1.52 by comparison. Desean had 1.53. Chris Johnson ran a 1.40.

Maybe they jumped the gun, and the official will be adjusted a lot.

Now that I posted that I must say that when the NFLN "official" times come out on those two positions, WR and DB, they end up being adjusted more than any other position. Many will fluctuate later on when they make the adjustments.

Stephen Hill running a low 4.3 is not surprising to me. The 10 yard of his IF it holds up officially? That's awesome. Floyd's 40 is slightly surprising, however.

B.J. Cunningham - 4.47,

Am I the only one who is fairly impressed by this? For a guy who is 6'1 and usually plays even taller than that, that is really damn fast. I always considered speed to be his biggest weakness, but that is NFL speed for sure. If he is available in Round 5, I really hope my Bears take a chance on him. Floyd in the first and Cunningham in the 5th would really help our team's biggest weakness.

Hell of an effort there by Hill as well, making the catch while falling full speed. Probably seems like I'm all over this guys jock. He was just one of the players I was most interested in coming into the combine. I knew he'd impress, but it's something else watching it for yourself.

Floyd ran the gauntlet about as well as anyone. Almost no weaving at all, maybe had a drop. Hill did the same thing shortly after, no drops. I though Junior Hemingway had a nice one too.

I missed both of Criner's 40 times. His speed was the main thing I've heard questioned about his game, so I guess 4.60 isn't surprising.

I went back and checked some things I had been saving recently. There was a report out two weeks ago that anonymously quoted somebody working out with Stephen Hill that over half the timed 40s he was running were sub 4.38s.

Another note that I previously mentioned in this thread (maybe a different one) is that Stephen Hill has been working with what many consider to be the best speed coach on the planet in Loren Seagrave. Not to take away from Hill's God given ability, nor am I saying the majority of the credit has to go to Seagrave, but if this stuff holds up then that business relationship should get a small mention in my opinion.

I remember you mentioning that. Definitely something to consider.

Line of the day goes to Josh Norris so far. Stephen Hill may catch more passes at the combine than he did in college. :)

A sign of things to come later with NFLN's "official" 40 time? Three people on twitter all say that people who they just talked to who were on the field for Griffen's 40s say that they had him under 4.37.

I did too. I'm hoping that causes him to drop, so the 49ers can snag him.

UConn WR Kashif Moore with a 43.5 inch vertical. Best one to come out so far from the WRs. Some others that have trickled out:

Kashif Moore - 43 1/2
Chris Owusu - 40 1/2
Keshawn Martin - 39 1/2
A.J. Jenkins - 38 1/2
Marvin McNutt - 37
Rishard Matthews - 36
Jermaine Kearse - 34
Dwight Jones - 33 1/2
Marquis Maze - 33 1/2
Derek Moye - 33 1/2
Marvin Jones - 33
Eric Page - 30

Looks like I'm not the only one following WRs, especially with an eye on Hill...

Matt Barrows ‏ @mattbarrows

Stephen Hill slows down on his second combine attempt: 4.31. Running himself into the first round? #49ers.

Stephen Hill blazes on the 40-yard dash. It's your move, Rueben Randle ... #future49erswideouts. ...

Jeffrey not running? What's the excuse there? That could hurt him. Seems like the fourth WR spot is wide open. I'd be taking every opportunity to establish myself as that guy, were I him. Skipping the 40 is a question mark IMO.

What do people think Criner's 40-time does to his stock?

I think they announced when Jeffery wasn't running that it was his own decision.

Adding the QB 40s for the 2nd group. It starts with Ryan Lindley. Not many of them in the 2nd group ran.

I've been thinking about this a bit lately, and if I were the Rams, I don't think there's a chance I'd take Blackmon 2nd, or even if they trade back. There should be several interesting WR prospects to sift through with their high second-round pick - basically all the guys they're talking about the Niners looking at. Obviously my first choice if I were them would be to trade back, but I'd be looking long and hard at other positions.

NFL.com video isn't keeping with the action during commercial breaks on real TV so I missed some of the first 40s in this 2nd group. I'll fill them in if they end up showing them in a bit.
