Jeffrey not running? What's the excuse there? That could hurt him. Seems like the fourth WR spot is wide open. I'd be taking every opportunity to establish myself as that guy, were I him. Skipping the 40 is a question mark IMO.

What do people think Criner's 40-time does to his stock?

It hasn't changed a bit IMO. He is what we thought he was. A solid second round pick.

Sanu just ran himself out of first round with a 4.65. I think Hill ran himself into the first round right into our laps.

Looks like I'm not the only one following WRs, especially with an eye on Hill...

Matt Barrows ‏ @mattbarrows

Stephen Hill slows down on his second combine attempt: 4.31. Running himself into the first round? #49ers.

Stephen Hill blazes on the 40-yard dash. It's your move, Rueben Randle ... #future49erswideouts. ...

Barrows is being a fool now for stating the "obvious". Many weeks ago I predicted that at 6'5 he was going to run in the 4.4s. His performance today showed that he actually ran closer to a 4.2 mark than the 4.4 mark. I'm sorry but you cannot teach that type of size and speed. You're not going to find that in the 2nd round. Even before this combine there were conversations of him landing in the 2nd round. Sooo Barrows, are you saying that after today's performance his stock remained the same!!?? Simply put, he just worked himself in conversation as being the 1st or 2nd receiver that will be drafted come April. Forget the 1st round Barrows, if you want to make a shocking predication why don't you say something like "Hill will be the 1st or 2nd player that will be drafted at his respective position come April". Or say something like Hill just worked himself into the top 10-15 conversation...

Hill can catch the ball, he could jump, now we know he can outrun them all. His only downfall was that Gtech ran an offense that somewhat hindered his development (knowing and mastering the art of running executing the tree route). Is that a total handicap? Does he have the agility/athleticism to learn how to run precise NFL routes? We all know he mastered the 9 route in college - he has an insane average of about 30 yards per catch or something???

Don't be silly Ray, we probably will have to trade up to get him.

Man Sanu is slow off the line! Once he gets going, he's got some decent speed for his size.

Have the Wylie and Welker comparisons started yet? A quick white dude that's about the same stature......

Floyd ran pretty good times too.

It wouldn't shock me if he went before Blackmon. I'm not saying I would be on board in drafting Floyd ahead...because at the end of the day, their athleticism is another source of data. The best reference is the film...and Blackmon has that going for him. I wouldn't trade up for any receiver though. Someone will fall in our laps. Watch...! Unless it's a small trade from 30 to 27 or something.

It's a good thing the Raiders don't have a 1st round pick this year!

Otherwise Hill would be loooong gone by pick #30. :-)

According to Joe Person Janoris Jenkins DID openly reveal to teams in interviews that he has been arrested 3 times (bar fight, 2 pot posessions) and has failed one drug test in the past.

6'4" 215 running a 4.30 is no laughing matter!!! :) He was already being considered at bottom first by some. Anytime I see a white guy run in the 4.3's I give props! I also didn't think Streeter would run in the 4.3s cuz you don't see that speed on the field.

Devon Wylie could be a slot receiver and also could return punts. I'm sure he knows how to fair catch.

Anyone opposed to drafting 2 WRs?

With this crop I would be happy grabbing Hill in the 1st, and another one in round 4 or later. Assuming we re-sign our free agents, then WR is our position of greatest need.

If Hill pans out as an NFL receiver, then Georgia Tech will have a great WR pedigree:
Calvin, Demaryius Thomas who was starting to produce even with Tebow as his QB, and then Hill.
