It wouldn't work for basketball or baseball because they don't have enough rest days. It's easy for the NFL. They only play once a week and they're going to be flying on a team jet with beds.

This is also part of the strategic reason for the NFL to go to London. None of the other major American sports could do that, and they already have teams in Canada.
Baseball for sure would be out.

Basketball would prolly require a group of Euro teams. Atleast three. Scheduling what would work to be something like a round robin.

With the once a week of NFL scheduling, it definitely isn't a deal breaker. And like you said, these guys won't be flying commercial.

It seems inevitable that London will get a team, the support is progressive. Does not seem that far-fetched. The teams have time to plan and travel, it happens today between W and E coast teams. What will happen if W coast team needs to play in London? They need to iron that one out.
That's where the biggest concern lies.

The biggest issue is actually that the UK won't give a work visa to anyone that's been convicted of a felony, so it might be hard to fill a roster.

We fly someplace yearly from Las Vegas, our Europe trips with lay over take around 13 hours.
Granted NFL teams won't be dealing with Layovers and long boarding times, however a search of the Web says LA to NY takes about 5 1/2 hours while NY to London takes a little over 7 hours. LA to London about 10 1/2 hours. West coast teams have a hard time just crossing 3 time zones, now make them cross 8 zones.
I'm sticking with my thought that it's a horrible idea.
Your experience flying commercial with connections is completely irrelevant to the discussion.

And save the web searches. I fly these routes all the time.

Remember also that teams will be flying private. Scheduled flight times include a lot of taxi time on both ends and cushion built into the schedule. The time from wheels up at JFK to touchdown at Heathrow is about 5 and a half hours.

The NFL won't exist in 10 years. Enjoy it while you can.

I already acknowledged my layover flights are notvthe same, but saying flying from LA to NY us the same as NY to London is complete BULLSHIT.
Also as we've discussed the ISSUE is West Coast teams flying to London and vice versa.
Don't try to think your frequent flying gives you any more insight than the rest of us, and yes I'll trust my Google search more than I trust you, because I already knew the flight from NY to London was longer because I had layovers in Montreal and the leg from Montreal to London wasn't nearly the same as LA to Montreal.

I flew from London to Baltimore yesterday. It' was 7 hours 20 minutes in the air and I wasn't flying coach; it sucks. Adjusting to an 8 hour time difference on the west coast would suck even more.

Please for the sake of Vice Lombardi, no, no, no :hellno:! The NFL is having issues with the Los Angeles market, there is no need to place a team in London. I don't mind exhibition or regular season games over there, but to have a franchise over there is a no, no! If anything how about a team in Vancouver, Canada or Toronto, Canada.
