What i've been trying to tell some of you for years now, when you have "super teams" you don't run into outs!!

This is just one AS game and a crazy one, they usually arent like thisz I think these All-Star games are different than our matchups in many different ways

Look at All Star games going back 20 years, there are not many steals ever, you just dont run into outs with stacked lineups.

I just dont think they treat as a real game. Players dont want to get hurt, no reason to slide, pitchers only pitch one inning. Hard to compare imo

I disagree, if there was never a stolen base then you'd have a point but there have been steals in All Star games just not very many because when you have the best players batting you don't run into outs and that is even more true in our drafts because we are drafting the best players ever not just the best players of today.

Just bc there have been steals doesnt mean they are putting in the effort like a real game. You see at the end of the game, the players care bc they want to win. I cant say that for the entire game. Our playoffs would be treated like a game 7 WS unless we made it a series. Just like NBA it wouldnt be like an All-Star Game, where they try for a quarter. I dont put much into it that they dont steal very often. But I also dont see that mattered to much too, I just dont see it as lopsided as I think you do.

that doesn't take away the importance of a steal... sure running into an out is bad... But good base stealers also score more runs as they need less to happen to score...

the odds of NOT getting a hit will always be higher than the odds of getting a hit!!!

All Star Games are not like our playoff games. No way in hell, they dont take that shit seriously and there is no strategy. They just try to hit homeruns as far as they can. Pitchers dont use their best stuff. Players dont even attempt to see 90% of the time. It is still very important to winning

although I agree with you overall opinion, I don't think HRs is a good example... Current baseball, everyone ALWAYS hits for Home runs...


The differences I see is that hitters don't walk as much, nobody in the all-star game comes up WANTING to walk... so they are more aggressive at the plate...

SP, act as RP, so pitching deep into the game is not a consideration... BUT THIS ACTUALLY MAKES PITCHERS BETTER IN THEORY... but maybe, these SP are not used to the RP role...

I don't believe pitchers don't show their best stuff, they want to show off just as much as anyone else... its just the RP role and the more aggressive batters may turn them into a 2 pitch pitcher...
