After @Nosferatu posted the verse from Led Zeppelin it made me go back and look at some of my old stuff for some reason... one of my personal favorites from my personal stash

i write
to bring light
to the dark
i write
from the heart
left out
right from tha start
considered ignorant
like i aint have tha
right to be smart
consequently
i
chose
to
exercise
the
right
to
remain
silent...
sittin in silence
i take full blame
for not realizing
that even inna nightmare
i could still dream
for my brothers 20 year sentence
when he was only 18
cause 5 out of my mothers 7 kids
dropped outta highschool like she did
i write
cause i went to college
and got the knowledge
but forgot the degree
then found out
the paper was more
important than me
or what i knew
you see things differently
when you aint just wlkin 4 you
i write
ta keep my head right
tryna maintain
i write
cause it aint fame i’m after
i turn days to chapters
so my sons thoughts can eat
then continue 2 wlk on wobbly feet
til my last breath
tryna pass tha last test
sometimes
i write
cause my wife
saved my life
and i dont think she knows it
or maybe i forget to show it
i swear i aint a poet
just ryhmin words

into pictures
