I was a huge fan of the New England Patriots until "Spy-Gate" was disclosed! Funny that it seems they needed that edge to get over the hump! They've had great seasons, making 2 SuperBowls, but they haven't won anything since it was uncovered; they cheat! I still enjoy watching them, but don't shed many tears if they go down in the playoffs! Now Karma has bitten them on the arse once again with the loss of all their wide receivers, including one to murder charges! If they had kept Welker, their season might have been saved, now they're in serious trouble; maybe not even make the playoffs! We'll see!

They haven't had a defense since before spygate, and it is widely established that the behavior was and had been commonplace throughout the league.

@dblakejr

"just a few numbers for you...

"since 1990 (22 years) when the Pats went 1- 15 they have had 16 winning seasons (9-7 or better) including 12 in a row. (2000 they were 5 -11) been to the playoffs 14 times , made it to the conference title game and lost twice, went to the super bowl 6 times and won three of them. won thier division 12 times including 10 out of the last 12. This also includes a perfect regular season in 2007"

Playing in the weakest division in the AFC your team should have lofty records. Going to the SB 6 times and losing half of them? Is that really something u r proud of?

Here's the truth... NE had great years from 2000 to 2004...since then it's been huge disappointments....including a spoiled perfect season,spy gate,Ans another SB loss. Like I said earlier 2004 is a long time ago and your franchise is 36.

Get ready for that beating again in Baltimore by the Super bowl Champs!

:laugh3:

Yes, absolutely.

tgann, the Ravens have accomplished a fraction of that in the same time period.

...and I will further not deny being extremely disappointed by the Pats losses you outline. I do, however, consider being a Pats fan to be a privilege. What were you doing during the playoffs when the pats lost those superbowls, playing in your bowling league?

Being there each and EVERY year counts for a great deal.

Lol at losing the Super Bowl being worse than not making it.

@NEhomer...

I was doing the same U were doing which is watching NE lose and going To SB's and losing is no better then just making the playoffs which the Ravens have done every year under Harbaugh.

I stand by my earlier statement. 2004 was a long time ago.

Bullshit it's no better. Going to the conference championship is better than going to the divisional round is better than going to the wildcard is better than not making the playoffs.

@Briz...

I wonder how NE would have done w/o AH Welker Lloyd Woodhead?

Oh yeah they would have lost much worse even with them they couldn't score in the second half....

lol!!!

The comparison isn't the same because we replaced them. Also danny woodhead is awful.

Sure it is the same....Except even more relevant. I heard on Sirius that Brady threw the ball 401 times last year and of the receivers he threw "301" too are gone this year. If that is true Wow!

Briz you are about to be disappointed again this year.

To be honest, there are question marks and I'd say the rookies are the biggest one but I liked the picks when they drafted them.

Edelman and Amendola can play but they have to stay healthy.

Gronk will be back...unlike Pitta. Ouch! Ballard looks like he could come back to his old form.

Two candidates for their annual camp surprise are WR Kenbrell Thompkins and TE Zach Sudfeld.

I'm optimistic.

Briz you are about to be disappointed again this year.

We deliberately let ours go with a plan to replace them, and executed it. Also, Brady has had several very successful seasons with far less to work with.

You deliberately let one go and what most feel was the biggest plan to replace his production in key spots just got knocked out for the season.

Not the same.

@JDM...

Please explain to me how NE DELIBERATELY let Aaron Hernandez go? Just curious about that plan...please you have the floor...

Secondly Hernandez had 486yds and 5 TD's while Pitta had 669 yds and 7 TD's... Seems that in production they are similar...also I am pretty sure AH is lost for the year unless the verdict was planned as well...hmm?

Hernandez was a backup and we have depth. Pitta was your starter and you don't. Pitta had more responsibilities than Hernandez and will be felt much more strongly.
