So interesting stat of the day...

Over the last 10 seasons Manning and Brady have played 10 times and are each 5-5 in those games. Manning is 2-0 in the playoffs during that stretch against the Patriots.

Manning's playoff defense has never outranked Brady's until now.

I am just ready for this game to be played. Tired of hearing about it, tired of hearing who says what about the game, what player says this and that... Tom Brady vs Manning, the records, the stats. It is all out the window when the game starts.

I am ready for Sunday!

Yup ready for this game to happen. I can't hardly read anything from Boston right now as they have been incredibly disrespectful towards the Broncos and giving them no shot in this game.

Yup. Exactly. I read a headline about Patriots/Broncos and have just ignored opening it.

Reading more about DT and his mother.. Chris Harris shoulder etc... I don't really want to hear another fans opinion of the game or see Brady photoshopped in women's clothes or Peyton Manning being held in the arms of Tom Brady with his pacifier in his mouth...

Means nothing to me. :)

This game feels like I'm going to a movie I expect won't be very good. No real expectations, nothing to lose, hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Probably not the optimism some of your are hoping for, but I'm just not loving our offense and particularly the offensive game plan.

It almost feels irrelevant to talk about how our defense might slow down the Pats offense, when our offense despite incredible field position could barely muster anything this past week. Maybe a lack of dropped balls helps, but does the OL relapse after a good performance against Pitt? Do the Manning picks come back into play? I'm hoping we finally for the first time all season see an offense that clicks on all gears, but its really hard to have expectations.

Like I said though, really hoping to be pleasantly surprised here.

I don't know why but I feel better about the game as the week goes on. Just a gut feeling. No reason.

I will never forget the year we played Steelers in the AFC championship after they upset the Colts. Minute the Steelers won I had a great feeling we were going to the SB the same night of that Steelers upset. Then suddenly my guy changed the next day, then as the week grew longer I had that feeling less and less that we were winning. By game time I was almost certain in my guy that we were gonna lose and we ended up getting blown out.

I have had that reverse feeling this game. It went from bad to good...

I hope my gut feeling is right again.

Can't explain it, and I am not saying go to vegas and place your bets. :)

I do know that when George goes to Russia good things happen with our Broncos.

We beat the Patriots two years ago in the AFC C and Geo was in Russia. We traded for Champ Bailey when George was in Russia and I believe we did something else good when Geo was in Russia, and well Geo is in Russia this week..

If we win. Geo is to stay in Russia!!!!

DC, do you remember on the Steelers first drive of that AFC Championship game, Champ Bailey had a pick 6 right in his hands and dropped it .. It was right there that my gut turned on that game

You think we would have beaten the Hawks in that Super Bowl ? ..

That was a fun team, with the great D and Jake The Snake

Oh, stop! Whining about respect IS for Chiefa fans! I love how disrespectful Boston media is. One, it's a symptom of unprofessionalism and 2) it makes it even better when the Broncos win. Embrace it, friends!

I see the weather forecast calls for rain. I hope so. Rain favors a team with a ground game and is more likely to affect the passing game.

Do we have a ground game? ;)

I guess we did last time we played New England.

But seems like we seldom have one this year.

That is certainly a key question to me. Really hoping for big games from CJ, Hillman, and or Thompson.

Bad weather has to really favor Brady. Manning does not have the arm strength in good weather. In bad weather, the field might as well be 200 yards long because that is what it will feel like

Sorta same feeling I had.

I also get the ground game being huge in bad weather, but I just don't have the faith ours will make that much of a difference in the game. Hope I am wrong. I will say that the two best games we had this year running the ball came against the Packers and Patriots if I recall.

So I sold one of my tickets, even made a profit after paying for my 2 seats, and still get to see the game in person.
