Jamill Powell and Luther Thomas. Both are post-grads at Body of Christ Christian in NC. Couldn't find a Rivals page for either (?) but Jamill is a 6'4" SG and Luther is a 6'3 F. As long as they qualify I expect them to be here next year.

Wow any more info on either of them? SG definitely fills a need but I was hoping for a true 5 as well if the talent is out there (ie someone who isn't 6'3)

Honestly I don't really know much about either. Theres really not much about either out there, too. Like I said not even a Rivals page! Here is a video of Powell though.

Yea he has more PG measurable. I guess we will see where he ends up. This is all contingent of them qualifying too.

Various google searches for obscure ranking services show Powell was #46 in Connecticut last year (NERR - New England Basketball Recruiting Report)
and Thomas was #44 in Texas (MeanGreenHoops.com - TR's DFW Top 70 - Mean Green Hoops).

These are odd commits considering how VT had been getting an assortment of top 100/top 150 players lately.

Well not so. Granted the 11 class was awesome but look at Johan VZ and Marshall Wood. Also Erick Green was very lightly recruited. Both big time sleepers.

I was worried about getting no 5's but I forgot about Joey. I am really excited about him; too bad he redshirted this year. He is going to be really good when he is ready (hopefully next year.)

These two are a good pickup. Guards with good length that can play the 1-3 if nothing else.

Just got word they are a package deal and want to play together. The only two schools to offer BOTH are VT and Tennessee. Should call them "soft commits" as they are still waiting on other offers... especially Wake Forest for some reason.
