I'm just going to make a short little list of what I personally think is holding the team back, nicely organized. Maybe someone can edit this and sticky it and we can add/remove shit week by week to see what improves or doesn't.

I'll start at the top,

Coaching:
-Bo (Needs to be more hands on with the Defense because that is why we hired him in the first place, He also needs to stop keeping his friends on the staff or he will shortly be ran out of town in 2-4 years if this continues)
-Beck (Called a great first half, but had no second half adjustments at all)
-Papuchis (Needs fired, our DL was non-existent and Bo for some reason thought he would be a great fit for DC. LOL)
-Cotton (Worthless, Fire him, no explanation needed.)

Defense:
-Work on tackling
-Work on getting pressure on QB
-Win trench battles in general
-Create/Force some turnovers
-Our defensive line is small/slow/worthless. Recruiting needs to be done, other players need chances to get playing time. There is no pressure.
-Our linebackers are slow and suck. Recruiting needs to be done here as well.
-Secondary I think is average, I'm holding my judgement because I honestly think its tough for them to get the job done when the QB has all the time in the world to survey the field.

Offense:
-Offensive line needs consistency/win trench battles

Other than that I really feel like the combination of our offensive line going to shit and becks play calling led to our offensive woes in the 2nd half.

Special Teams:
-Kicker/Punter with some fucking Consistency.
-Kick off Coverage needs improvement

Just so this thread isn't completely negative, here are a few Positives:
-We have Solid Rb's
-We have Solid Wr's
-Taylor is a pretty good QB, he wasn't the reason for the offensive woes.

Good breakdown. To simplifly it:

1. Bo: We need you on D. Focus.

2. Bo: If your D doesn't man up you need to GTFO

3. Bo: Find a way to get your D to stop ANYTHING because if you don't you will be a legendary laughingstock.

2008 recruiting = worst class in history of Nebraska football.

Will Compton = eerily similar to Corey McKewon.

Our o-line is what it is. A bad pass blocking line/good run blocking line, especially strait ahead and pulling. I don't see how Beck does not know this. As a fatty who played o-line through out my competitive years of football, it's much funner to drive forward and deliver the hit than to drop back and wait to get hit/try to guess which direction your assignment is going to go.

Martinez is who Martinez is. A fast guy who can hit open receivers once he's in a rhythm. He's not going to pick a part defenses play after play if the other team knows it's a pass play. I think he really got frustrated in the second half as well. Probably as confused as everyone else was with the playcalling and getting hit every other play in the pocket.

The play calling is just mind boggling. We moved the ball successfully on 1 drive in the second half. Can anyone tell me what we did different on that drive? (sarcasm). I know they want to run the Oregon offense (or something close). I would have liked to bang all of the victoria secret models (before I met my fiance of course :) ) But I was not equipped to do so. This offense is not equipped to do what oregon does with the players that they are bringing in. Quit doing what you want to do and start doing what you can do.

I have to say if Bo can get his kids on defense to just tackle and see what you hit along with playing undercontrol this defense would be a good defense. But right now they can't tackle for shit.

As for Tim Beck he needs to take a look in the mirror and say I fucked up in the second have. We ran the football well in the first half and need to run the ball a lot more in the second half. North/South out of the I-formation I believe would have one that game for Nebraska. They burn the redshirt of Cross and they should trust that kid and used him in the second half in some packages.

Fire the strength coaches, the results are not worth chit. Both lines struggled at least half of the game yesterday. And fire the idiot who called for a shot-gun play from the Nebraska 5 yard line.
