Does NU get any revenue from that?

:noidea: Don't know how all that works.

So Kansas football got nothing for being aired on the LHN?

As long as Texas home games are not being televised by someone else, the LHN has the right to air them. Is that correct?

Yeah as far as I know. Kind of like the radio broadcasts. They pay the school for the rights to air the games but the don't pay the opponents.

that our game didn't get picked up by a major network??

nobody airs college baseball

No. That NU has to resort to lining Texas' pockets just for RPI. I suppose one could consider it gives NU some exposure down there..

College baseball gets considerably more air time on espn/fox once college basketball is over.

Relevent teams do anyway...

I highly doubt Texas is making much money off of our baseball games there

I think contractually, Texas gets the same amount of $$ from espn ($15 mil/yr?) regardless of content on the LHN. I could be wrong tho.

If anything it merely enhances the LHN's opportunity for success.

Yeah, TX gets the flat amount no matter what. They negotiated being able to air a certain number of games in each of the real sports. No one cares about baseball so it doesn't matter. Doesn't say anything about our program. If anything it benefits our program because it says we are worthy of it being aired. Still have the "name brand".

ESPN airs more softball because it gets better ratings.

LOL

troof

The only benefit I see is to win the series and I seriously doubt there's much chance in that.
