If it were frivolous the judge would have "thrown it out" day 1.

You're an ignorant moron to think the judge is only requiring 'basic documents'.

The Big 10 is a defendant. A defendant in a COURT.
They extend NOTHING on their own. They tell NOBODY (the plaintiff or the judge) what they're going to do. They can simply request an extension from the judge. She has no obligation to give it to them.

You then go on to imply the Big 10 is playing games with a court (judge). That is a really bad idea.

If so, then next up comes "contempt".

Wouldn't that be a headline of beauty?

"Big 10 held in contempt for snubbing their sanctimonious nose at judge"
.
Yes, the B10 is the defendant. And they're going to keep meeting minimum requirements of the court until this is tossed. Anyone can sue anyone, and it's likely even in the most frivolous lawsuits that the court is going to ask for some kind of documentation. The B10 isn't going to hand over anything more than they have to and they're going to take every bit of the time the court gives them. The fact that it hasn't been thrown out yet doesn't validate the lawsuit, and you seem to think it does. My guess is the B10 might even have a plan for when to start playing by the time this thing hits September 12th.

If not, they'll hand over whatever documents are necessary to fulfil their requirement, which will illustrate the same vote that we already know about and tha'ts going to be the end of it.

Again... You're an ignorant narrow minded moron.
The 11-3 vote is just a sliver of the lawsuit. If you'd take the time to read (and comprehend) the suit you'd know that and stop using it as the foundation of your stupidity.

The Big 10 considering getting back to (Fall) football is likely being driven by this lawsuit. You think it's coincidence that the Big 10 is reconsidering after losing on Monday? You're so fucking stupid you're on record here at least 8 times saying the players "lost" on Monday. LMFAO!!!

The reason they omitted 13 pages of by-law from their answer to the court on Monday is very likely because the by-laws make them vulnerable to said suit. The by-laws don't support the cancellation. Which likely proves the decision not to play is purely political and that's going to go over like a turd in a punch bowl among the masses.
Information is not omitted because it supports a litigant's stance. Information is omitted because it hurts their stance.

If it's shown to be a political decision, then Warren will surely be fired at the minimum.
I'm sure there will be calls for some libtard academia university chancellors and presidents to be pushed out the door as well.

Best case scenario is the Big 10 gets back to fall football and settles this out of court on an agreed to gag order.

Worst case scenario is the Big 10 remains hard-headed, loses the suit, and owes every student athlete in the Big 10 a minimum of $75,000 each in damages.

That's over $150,000,000 in damages to football players alone. Add in other student athletes from all other fall sports and we're taking well over a $billion dollar haircut with egg on their face.

Yeah, let them kick the can down the road like you suggest and college town small businesses lose hundreds of $millions in revenue over the next 3 months because 'politics'.

I did. Maybe you should too. It’s entirely about the vote and quote “arbitrary” data used to vote the way they voted. They think the B10 is in violation of bylaws because of the way in which they voted.

"the right to expect the Big Ten will follow its own governing documents and all of its other rules, regulations and guidelines; will not make arbitrary and capricious decisions; and when a vote on a decision as momentous as canceling all fall sports is announced, will conduct an actual vote." The lawsuit cites public statements from Minnesotapresident Joan Gabel and Michigan State president Samuel Stanley, and questions whether a formal vote to postpone took place among the Big Ten's council of presidents and chancellors.

So like I said, dolt, as soon as the B10 proves a vote happened in accordance to the bylaws, which basically say they just have to actually vote, then it’s over. The rest of their argument is basically “we don’t agree that a pandemic means we can’t play” which they have no legal authority to determine. So this is entirely about the vote. A vote we know happened, how it planned out and who was against it. They lost.

Again... You're still stuck on the 11-3 vote and what the Big 10 "says" they have the right to do without providing you with supporting evidence.

Hence the Big 10's willful omission of supporting evidence that the judge is has now ordered to be produced.

Good thing you're just a gullible idiot and not a judge.

New info?
After Day's letter yesterday, and our lineman declaring today, it just seems like they know within the team that it isn't happening. I expect to hear a lot more declaring within the next 3 or 4 days.

Nebraska AG tells B1G they never filed proper paperwork on being a non-profit corporation.

One thing that is for sure, Nebraska is a pain in the ass for Kevin Warren. Ohio State, Penn State, and Iowa are probably glad Nebraska is really stirring the pot

Nebraska Scott Frost threatens to play football outside of B1G
eight Nebraska players sue B1G
Nebraska parents write protest letters
AG notifies B1G their paperwork is out of order.

Nebraska has stuck their neck out the most, but Ohio State is putting on pressure too. Iowa Hawkeyes, the school and Ferentz are very quiet, Penn State is a little vocal. harbaugh is up against his president, Mark Schissel, who actually thinks football is pointless. Schlisell does not respond to Harbaugh emails or calls.

Thought they were meeting again this weekend to look at testing models on how to return to the field this fall.

So they are doing a re-vote today or tomorrow. According to the Chicago Tribune Rutgers will not play regardless but will vote "Yes" to play the season IF they get an equal share of the TV revenue.

So starts the B1G college Welfare program. Get your money for nothin.......

There can be two votes. First, return to play. Second, to kick Rutgers out.

I imagine that the BTN would have a problem paying out the full amount, if Rutgers sat out the season. Part of their revenue is due to the giant footprint that the Network has, especially in large markets. I would think if Rutgers sat out, they would lose some part of the revenue that Rutgers brings in with the New York market? Maybe it wouldn't matter though.

fify

The lawsuits were going to snowball once the Nebraska players won theirs, and yes universities who's presidents/chancellors voted to cancel football were next on the list. The Big 10 brought back football to keep them from having to publicly disclose their by-laws. IOW, the by-laws didn't support them shutting down football.

Nebraska, as a university, athletic department, coaches, players, and parents, have been the lead on getting football back from the very beginning of the "political" decision to cancel football.

GO BIG RED!!!
