In one of these damn threads I mentioned Sweat being a FA and my interest in him as a Patriot. After last night his value skyrocketed and his agent is rubbing his hands and twisting his moustache. DE is a need but IMO not more than LT, do you feel because he has priced himself out of our market based on all the gaps we have? Can't IMO break the bank on one or two players when there are so many other needs.

Agree, they need to look at the overall situation strategically and think long term. Ok with me if the rebuild takes more time but is done correctly.

Pretty much how I feel too. If the number one DE is worth $10.00 and the number two DE $6.00 and there numbers are similar and I can a # 1 LT for $10.00 and a RT for $6.00 seems more value to me.

He played a pretty dominant game last night. He made Thuney his bitch.
If there is a FA to crack the wallet open for, there he is. He wasn't alone, but he manhandled his side of the line.

He is a good part of an exceptional line.
Don't buy a diamond on the flash you saw yesterday at the store......

Remember a guy named Judon?? Bet you could get him back for $3.00.

The game yesterday upped the price of everyone in the trenches. Everyone saw the Eagles front four man front manhandle the Chiefs' OL Then they saw the massive (1750 lbs) OL completely frustrate the Chiefs' DL and LBs. OL and DL will be premium. Problem is that not every team will be able to go out and lay out that kind of cash. Andy Reid pretty much said that he intends to completely rebuild both Chief lines. What's he going to do? Cut everyone and pay Mahomes minimum wage so he sign every FA he wants? KC has already mortgaged their future and the bill is coming due and they can't avoid it.

As far as the Patriots are concerned, they have to do whatever they can reasonably with free agents and then draft intelligently.
They have money but can't be spending $30M on four players and hope to hit the jackpot in the draft.
