That's an entirely different subject to debate.

Your OP was "why are they in a poll with FBS teams?".

It's because the poll is for Division 1 teams and FCS is also Division 1.

There is a FCS poll though and that my friend should be where FCS teams are ranked. I really was asking if they were moving up to FBS because many way to early polls have them ranked or mentioned.

I doubt that the Fcs schools would be happy to see their poll filled with FBS teams .

I should probably repeat the fact that what the NDSU program has accomplished in the past 3 years is nothing short of domination. They deserve to be recognized. I would think a newspaper writer would have a fair chance of getting an article or two published in a paper here and there.

Not sure what you're asking?

They compare where a voter ranks their teams compared to the average of where everyone else ranks that team. If they are out of a certain window, that particular ranking is considered Extreme.

They count up the # of Extreme rankings (out of the window) each voter has and rank them in an Extreme Voter list.

Voters.............Extreme Near Extreme Total

Rob Long.............5...............2................7
Robert Cessna......5...............1................6
Joe Giglio............4................3................7
Sam McKewon ....4................3................7
Chris Murray........3................3...............6
Patrick Brown.......2...............4................6
Pete DiPrimio.......2................4...............6
Chris Fowler........1................5...............6

I should have been much more specific.

When you view the voter individually, say Sam McKewon for example:
I'll use South Carolina as the example, since it's his first Extreme Vote.
(rank 3) (agree 1) (Higher 0-HIGHEST) (Lower 58)

I'm assuming he has South Carolina as his #3 rank team at season's end with 1 person agreeing, 0 people has this team ranked higher than he has, and 58 people have voted South Carolina lower than 3rd.
I think that's how the chart is defined.

Correct. His ranking was in the top 10% of all other voters who ranked S. Carolina.
