Ahem, almost….ah forget it. :heh:

I’m really looking forward to the SB, I had a lot of fun with that game last night.

@tlance Close your eyes

Glad I did with one of ‘em, other one was a colossal beat down.
Did feel bad for the Commanders after a while...

Still, like coach, I think that nickname needs to change lol...

I didn’t at all.

Team was not set up to win this year. So many holes on defense, O line, etc.

What we got was a coach who did an amazing job setting culture and a young QB on a rookie contract who looks like an absolute star.

This team is going to be super fun to watch the next few years.

I take zero negative thoughts into the off season.

Exactly

There are 50/50 calls in every game every week.

Because of the narrative, anytime a close call goes KC’s way everybody loses their minds.
And the league and refs will do nothing to change that narrative. On purpose.

They showed the replay from both sides where the officials were.

From the side where the official who made the actual spot was, the camera made it look like Allen was short of the line. And based on what that camera showed, I don’t see how that official can be criticized from where he spotted the ball. Honestly is pretty ignorant to do so.

The guy who came in from the other side and looked ready to give the first down had the view that the camera could see the ball and it looked to crest the line for a short time.

He also looked like he had the spot perfect based on what he saw.

For whatever reason, when they discussed they went with the spot from the near official. And because that spot was off by maybe an inch, replay just isn’t going to overturn that.

When it is that close, could be a camera angle trick making it appear like he got it.

Put a chip in the damn ball and get these right 100% of the time.

Yeah, some folks just can't accept that their team didn't play well enough. The refs have never cost a team a game.

It's like when folks were trying to claim the refs beat the Texans...as if a missed field goal, a missed PAT, a blocked field goal and their QB being sacked 8 times had nothing to do with it.

Add in the fact that some folks are now "tired of them winning all the time" and people just get stupid.

I'll fully admit the Bills didn't play well enough. All they had to do was limit Mahomes' scrambling and there was likely a different result, but they failed to make that adjustment.

For both my teams (Bills and Rams), I was surprised that both were in position to steal wins late in the game despite some embarrassing defensive play at times.

I will disagree that the refs have never cost a team a game. A blown call on the final drive is damning.

If there's a blown call in the final minutes, what mistakes did the losing team make earlier in the game that could have kept them from being in position to lose because of 1 blown call?

Really thought the Rams were gonna steal that one.

Wouldn't work because of the shape of the ball and it's not just where the ball is...when a body part touches the ground is also part of the equation.

I bet they could figure it out.

Technology is out there.

Pair the review with a timestamp of when the runner went down and figure out exactly where the ball was.

I’m sure they can figure out the shape issue.

They had all game to recover from those mistakes. A last minute blown call there is no recovering from.

They could weave the sensor electronics throughout the cover. It can be done. From there, freeze frame (as they do today) for the whistle/being down. Similar tech as they do for the electronic strike zone in baseball.

But they had all game to build a lead so the blown call at the end doesn’t matter

Officiating shouldn't decide games. Get the calls right. They have replay assistance and available technology, get it right.

Baseball is infuriating for example. Inconsistent umps with strike zones that don't match the rules. Institute the electronic zone already, batters will adjust.
