The amount of bad teams in the nfl this year is really crazy. Over a quarter of the league is at 3 or 4 wins entering week 18. This is the equivalent of the nba having 7 or 8 teams at 21 wins or fewer entering game 82

Quite honestly a bunch of teams need to quit mortgaging their futures for unproven qbs. You can’t give Darnold $50 mil a year after 1 season, would be a horrible business decision.

I don’t know about the money side of it but I think you have to bring him back even if it’s on a short deal. It’s not like JJ is coming into the league with hype like Caleb or Jayden. Risky move to let Darnold walk after the year they are having. Teams don’t win 14 or 15 games by mistake

No problem bringing him back if they can get him to sign a reasonable deal. Just don’t give the guy a Daniel Jones type deal yet.

Baker would be getting a lot more money after the year he had but they gave him a chance just like the Vikings did Darnold.

Yeah I’m not committing long-term to Darnold bc of one year. 2 year deal is nice. 3 year deal with team option fine too.
