Gimenez down 0-2 in the count. Runs it to 3-2....then goes yard to end the game.

Twins and Guardians jawing at eachother as he rounds the bases. Awesome. What a fun young team.

These conference changes are making me hate college sports. This latest move doesn't make sense
The B10 is trying to draw out the Irish. For me, it’s inevitable that ND joins a conference. We are headed toward two super conferences in the SEC and B10. It’s in best interest of ND hanging out status quo as long as they can so they can get a picture of where they want to be. But the add of USC and ND’s desire to play that rivalry every year could be a big maneuver to get ND into the B10 fold. The ACC was a good situation. Many private universities like ND not big state land grant public universities. They were wise though not to lock themselves in long term and the developments of Texas OU UCLA USC show why. ND is in an enviable position. When they want in, there’s no conference that would tell them No.

I've been disillusioned ever since my Orange left the Big East for the ACC. Everyone talked about the bump in recruiting that would happen. Their biggest recruit remains Carmelo, from the Big East days. It's all about TV money and nothing else. Any conferences/divisions should be purely regional, can separate for college size where necessary.

Sure, teams like Ohio State and USC can easily afford the travel across the country. Can Rutgers to that same level? How is that fair to fans and students? How the hell does Rutgers belong in the same conference as USC?

Once these conferences grow they can go back to working things regionally. If they get to 24 teams in the B10 and SEC they can each break it up into four 6 team pods that are regional in design. That takes care of 5 league games and one game rotating from each pod to get to 8 league games.

Talking about USC/UCLA to the B1G?

I read up on it some yesterday and this morning. I don't like it logistically because that's an awful lot of travel every year.

Financially, however, it makes a lot of sense. Each school will get something like $100 million a year compared to something like $30 million in the PAC on tv deals. Also, while USC is located in a recruiting hotspot, they have struggled to land top o-linemen...being in the B1G should help with that.

This is the fault of Larry Scott and his legacy will be that he destroyed the conference. I feel bad for Kliavkoff, as he has corrected a lot of what Scott fucked up...but unless something drastic happens, it looks like too little too late.

Heard one guy put it that the Superconferences may just be similar to the AFC and NFC

I mean, as is, Rutgers would maybe go cross country once in a season. Teams it will be tough on is USC and UCLA.

Rutgers gets the same BIG money as OSU so they will be OK. But, sure, wasn't thrilled when they were added.

Sure, but I'm assuming that Rutgers lacks the financials of USC and UCLA.

seems in the cases the NFL presented in the hearings no force, coercion or violence was even mentioned....

Haven't read the article yet, but if the NFL presented no evidence of force, coercion or violence, it would be hard to see how they would have a leg to stand on for a long/idefinite suspension.

long/indefinite, I agree. Tough to make a case even for a short one but personal conduct policy is vague enough to do it.

Honestly, I'm not even sure the NFL wants a long suspension. Especially since it wont help out the team who was added to the suit (Houston). Might just be saying this so they can tell the public they tried.

Still thinking somewhere in the middle, it makes sense. Might be able to get it at like 6, that or lower would be ideal

Not saying I believe him but he called the Watson trade way before it happened. I still expect a 6- 10 suspension but the crazy thing now is the NFL has basically no leverage. If Judge Robinson says no suspension, the NFL can't do anything. Pretty crazy Watson has more leverage at this point
