Bo Naylor could be the guy. He’s the future…hopefully. I think there was another kid in the minors too
Lavistda

he was never a big time prospect but he has kind of hit his way into consideration. Sometimes those turn out.

i know the Guardians put a premium on defense and how they handle a staff for catching and dont care so much about hitting but Hedges and Maile are just so hopeless...both are under .200 by a fair margin. Hedges at least has a liiiiiitle bit of pop I guess.

Murphy would be great but he is a long term guy no doubt about it....Contreras would be such a good fit- and he wouldnt have to play everyday either with Hedges playing once in a while. I just would not give up a ton for him....I wonder how many other teams that are somewhat in contention will be interested in a catcher...I wouldnt suspect a lot of them.......Guardians do have a 40 man roster crunch and need to do something about it.

They could use an OF I guess....though Straw is maybe the best defensive cf in the game even if he hasnt hit much...Kwan has been solid......maybe in right if Gonzalez slumps. We shall see......

really though- 1B is fine with Naylor. 2B Gimenez might be an all star....Rosario has been on fire lately...Jose is Jose.....Miller can play 2b or 1b......I think they give Franmil every shot to get it together at DH.....

catcher and RF seem the only obvious spots on the offense for possible upgrades.

I wonder if they look at an SP.....I dont think they need it- but I do remember the Ubaldo trade kind of shocking me.....

That many women didn't just make shit up.
I am def. not saying they made up that he is a creep and a scumbag.....but if it is more or less settled that he did not do anything criminal or anything forcible....

its tough....it is a very unusual and distressing situation. Like I said- if he forced anyone to do anything id kick him out of the league for the rest of his career.

i just keep coming back to the fact that - how does a guy have 25 accusers - yet 2 grand juries wont even charge him with a misdeamenor ? Something does not add up. Its so strange from all sides.

@Shanemansj13 @dtgold88

did you see that lunatic Naylor tonight?

Guardians go into the 10th down 6-3.....win 7-6 on a walkoff bomb and NAylor goes nuts---- Francona put on a batting helmet because he knew Naylor would head butt him. lol.

its a fun young team to watch. There are going to be bumps and slumps--- and when Jose goes through a downturn its going to be hard to score- and Jose has been on a little downturn lately---- but its really fun to watch these young guys start to learn how to win games backed by a pretty damn good pitching staff

what a steal getting Quintrell. Just a very solid starting pitcher. Just about any team would be happy to have him in the #3 spot in the rotation.
Saw it. what a hit and so needed. Have to admit right off his bat I thought it would be a foul ball. Not even close.

OK...but even the stories some said are true they don't equal a long suspension. also possible some of what they said was true but they exaggerated.

I will say that the NFL is largely inconsistent as a whole. I typically don't agree with @WiggyRuss on much - but I do agree with the idea that Watson is probably not the best person in the role and that the whole situation doesn't exactly put him in a positive light. Having said that, there have been multiple cases where other NFL players have been actually charged with other crimes and receive lighter sentences. Watson, from a public perception clearly has issues and deserves a punishment. But, if a player only gets multiple games for assault charges, I really don't see how Watson deserves a minimum 1-year suspension in comparison.

It's one thing if people THINK they should but it's a whole different story of them actually doing it. I don't think anyone can disagree if Watson misses a lot of time Baker is the best option but I highly doubt it happens. I still see him going to CAR or SEA

Agree. However, it kind of works both ways. The more accusers there are, the more likely that some of them are lying or exaggerating to get a pay day. It increases the likelihood that the person being sued will just settle rather than fight each individual suit, so the accuser never actually has to try to prove their case.

It's really not that big a story to do it. Not like a contract needs to be worked out.

Browns - we need you in camp
Baker - I'd rather not come
Browns - Might be best for us and for you
Baker - OK/no
Broiwns - great/then you wont be paid

The NFL fucked up big time, it's their own fault if Watson doesn't get a long suspension but looking at their track record, he shouldn't even get 8. I mean this is ridiculous.

Snyder and Kraft got nothing.
Brown got 8 games for r*pe allegations.
Hill got 2 games for child abuse and domestic violence.

Watson does need help and has some real issues, that is clear, but is beating your meat in front of women worse than beating your own child senseless? LOL

@trojanfan12 I don't post on the college FB board, did you see USC and UCLA are looking to bolt to the Big Ten pretty soon?

Are they talking about it there?

Its going to be 2 big super conferences- and then eventually merge into one big super conference a few years from now........

USC, UCLA would be good teams for the Big Ten- though they absolutely make no geographical sense whatsoever obviously.

Oregon gets fucked. lol.

itll be fun for the Buckeyes to put an ass whooping on UCLA every once in a while @DJ

NCAA needs to just draw geographical lines and put all schools of a certain size and area in the same conference or drop conferences altogether. This is getting out of hand.
