Chris Rose of NFL Network was just on 92.3 (local station) saying what I have about Browns and Baker

*IF Watson is suspended a season and they believe Brissett is the clear better QB they absolutely should and likely will consider playing Baker
*Said wont be hard to get this done as the hard part is done. He was saying there is no contract to agree to by both parties as he's signed
*Said under those circumstances it would be better for both parties
*Said wont be hard for FO to convince Baker this is best for him......maybe just promise not to franchise him after the season would be all it would take
*Added players just want to win and, again, IF Baker is the clear better player they'd want him to play
*Also said the locker room dynamic is one that no one really knows as they have not been in the locker but again...see the last comment.

The good thing is it seems more likely Watson won't be suspended for the entire season but who really knows. Lets say he gets 8 games...the Browns can make it with Brissett imo.

Panthers, Jets, Steelers, Falcons, Chargers, Pats, Ravens, Bengals - they can go 4-4, 3-5 at worst

the thing that has always bothered me is that so many NFL players have been charged with actual felonies- and some have actually been convicted of misdemeanors after pleading down----- and 2 grand juries refused to even charge Watson with a misdeamonor

I think that a former federal judge has the back bone to look at the actual facts of the case instead of letting the hype/media around the case determine the outcome.

as I have said- I think there is something wrong with Watson mentally- and I think he has done some very scummy things---- but I cant see it equaling something like Kamara- who literally violently beat the shit out of someone and is being charged with a felony.

2 grand juries saying there is not even enough evidence to charge someone with a misdemeanor- compared to someone being charged with an outright felony- and the NFL wants a suspension 3 times more strict for Watson.

its a fun young team to watch. There are going to be bumps and slumps--- and when Jose goes through a downturn its going to be hard to score- and Jose has been on a little downturn lately---- but its really fun to watch these young guys start to learn how to win games backed by a pretty damn good pitching staff

what a steal getting Quintrell. Just a very solid starting pitcher. Just about any team would be happy to have him in the #3 spot in the rotation.

i think Watson is a weirdo and scummy

unless there is just more to the story that we are not seeing- i dont see how a guy who cant even be charged with a misdemeanor deserves one of the harshest punishments in NFL history.

if he forced anyone to do anything- suspend him for 2 years- or kick him out of the league. If he did that he deserves never to play again.

but so far - that just does not seem to be the case. I cant believe if there was even a small amount of probable cause for something like that--- that 2 separate grand juries would refuse to even bring a misdemeanor charge.

but again- I dont think anyone of us know the whole story.

of course a story of some star QB having 66 different massuse's over 18 months, and creeping out over a third of them is going to get more clicks, and more run, and more eyeballs then Alvin Kamara beating the shit outta someone and being charged with a felony- but that doesnt seem like a good reason to give a guy what the NFL if proposing penalty wise.

and I mean---- if the Guardians make one move it HAS to be to get a catcher. Hedges is great at defense and handling a staff- i get it----but geez there are getting worse production than if they had a pitcher most of the time. lol.

2 guys they need to look at that are the "high value" guys that would take some real prospect capital to get:

1. Wilson Contreras on the Cubs-- would immediately give them a legit bat. He is a free agent at the end of the year so the prospect cost shouldnt be astronomical- but they would have to give up something good.

2. Sean Murphy on the A's. He has a lot of control left- at least 2-3 years of arbitration....he hits pretty good for a catcher- plays very good D. He would be expensive because of the controllable years.

I would lean towards Contreras since he would be cheaper and Bo Naylor is prob. the catcher of the future.

shit- I know Danny Jensen of the Blue Jays is on the DL- but if he is back anytime soon I would look at him too. With Kirk and Moreno the Blue Jays have more at the catcher spot then then they know what to do with- and Jensen has a pretty solid bat.
