which is why I think not a crazy notion Baker could play. Brissett is a very solid backup and fine if you need him for, maybe 4-6 games. 1/2 a season or a full season? I don't think you want him for that....probably a reason no one has ever signed him to be a full time starter (at least not that I can remember).

Yeah, who knows what is going to happen with Watson...there seems to be growing sentiment that he'll be suspended for the entire year, but it all seems to be no more than speculation.

I don't know about Baker...things seem to have reached the point of no return. I know you have suggested that the Browns could approach Baker with the idea that they could help each other...but that's an awful lot of pride swallowing that I'm not sure the egos on either side will be good with.

But the idea neither side would be up to this is more media driven IMO trying to make us think there is some huge rift, as that is the best story for them. could be as simple as they really did plan to play Baker but had a chance to get a top tier QB and did. In addition, they know most will buy it without putting more thought into it.

a good example is the alleged "we want an adult at QB" comment. Look how many are willing to believe that was made about Baker without any more thought put into it (never mind they don't say who made the comment nor why it was said).

Say what ya will about the Browns but does THIS FO strike you as the type who would rip their own player while still on the roster AND a guy they want to trade? Just as likely (maybe more likely) they were asked if a rookie would be considered and this was the answer.

Heard many say Baker's ego wont allow this when to me it seems more likely this is exactly what Baker's ego would want....to show everyone 2020 is the real Baker. He cannot do that if he cannot play.

whether he can be that guy is another story.....but I'm confident he believes he can.
