Pretty sure they went right from Manning to Luck.

Yeah, you're right. Brissett started in 2017 when Luck was out with an injury and then again in 2019 when Luck retired 2 weeks before the season started. Neither went well. lol

Nope. Indy had some good to really good seasons with anyone but Brissett the last half decade or longer. Bad to mediocre with him.

Again, I don't say this to rip JB. He's a quality backup. at the very least I hope the plan is not to start him all year if watson is going to miss it. I hope it's Baker or someone else.

But the idea neither side would be up to this is more media driven IMO trying to make us think there is some huge rift, as that is the best story for them. could be as simple as they really did plan to play Baker but had a chance to get a top tier QB and did. In addition, they know most will buy it without putting more thought into it.

a good example is the alleged "we want an adult at QB" comment. Look how many are willing to believe that was made about Baker without any more thought put into it (never mind they don't say who made the comment nor why it was said).

Say what ya will about the Browns but does THIS FO strike you as the type who would rip their own player while still on the roster AND a guy they want to trade? Just as likely (maybe more likely) they were asked if a rookie would be considered and this was the answer.

Heard many say Baker's ego wont allow this when to me it seems more likely this is exactly what Baker's ego would want....to show everyone 2020 is the real Baker. He cannot do that if he cannot play.

whether he can be that guy is another story.....but I'm confident he believes he can.

I don't know. I get that the media is going to blow things up, I'm a Lakers fan after all. lol

But there seems to be an awful lot of smoke for there to be no fire. I hope you're right and they can work things out with Baker if they do lose Watson for the year, because the rest of the roster seems like one that could make some playoff noise.

Yep, that's why I say they could do worse, but still ouch. He can hold down the fort for a few games, but like you said, you don't want a full season of him starting.

He's going to have the most offensive talent he's ever had to work with on the Browns.

Doesn't throw a lot of INT's or fumble the ball much.

Anyone watch hustle yet? Heard great things about it
On my list. They filmed in Philly so I’m in.

Also, ND got commitment out of a 5 star 2024 QB out of Michigan. Usually info that’s like no big deal. But this kid is former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr’s grandson haha! Muck Fichigan!

Some of those Indy teams were pretty damn good, I think. Not Chubb/Hunt good but would think his line was solid and TEs. Better receivers than we have I think (though not sure who was there with him)

Anybody else a CCR fan? I love those guys. One of the most under rated bands ever in my opinion. But just discovered this morning while grading and listening to Pandora that Born on the Bayou and Run Through The Jungle are pretty much the same song with different lyrics.

Ha! That wasn’t even pot induced. I can’t grade all fucked up. Just slows me down. Counter productive.
