Why does the absence of charges mean anything? Accusations of sexual assault rarely result in charges.

Because it went before a grand jury which has a pretty low bar for evidence. It seems that with, at the time, 22 accusers there would have been enough evidence to at least result in charges of some kind being brought.

Nope. What evidence? These things are he said she said unless there is video or an eye witness. They showed up at his home alone. No evidence.

I can agree with that, though you'd think with 22 at time there would have been some physical evidence? Curious, though, if you believe #24's story. She was so outraged he had a boner she continued to watch him masturbate AND got close enough to be squirted.

How as in how could there be physical evidence? If that is what you meant maybe something that ripped? Semen left behind?

Semen just invites the claim it was consensual. There has to be physical signs of violence for that to be considered evidence in a sexual assault.

My commentary isn’t really about this specific case but the nature of prosecution for sexual assault cases in general. I don’t want to throw out the baby with the bath water on our due process and the rights of the accused. It’s what makes our system strong. I’m just pointing out a blind spot that exists in our criminal justice system. At the same time, I suck because I’m criticizing but I don’t have a viable alternative. I’m just reacting to the idea that absent charges it makes the claims less believable. I disagree with that notion in principle.

Do you believe that the number of alleged victims increases the likelihood that something did happen? Because that seems to be the other side of the coin.

I don't have a viable alternative either and am not sure one exists.

When the accused is rich and famous, it actually goes the other way for me. A civil nuisance suit paying someone to go away can be a nice windfall for a person. What I’m convinced of beyond the shadow of a doubt is that of the 24 there is at least one person who is straight lying and riding coattails and likely 3-5 minimum. That’s the nature of the beast.

24 cases with no evidence shouldn't imply guilt any more than 1 case, especially when the lawyer is basically trying to make this a class-action suit.

I need more of an event than he asked for more and was erect. If it goes on long enough to finish himself off, what the hell?

Yeah it's hard to fathom the situation if I was in her shoes.

1. So he was erect. It didn't bother you enough to keep massaging and massage close to his balls. I've never received a massage from a stranger but I guess a guy getting erect is just something that happens from time to time. Common sense.
2. His towel falls off. You keep massaging him? If he grossed you out I think that is the point you speak up and/or leave the room.
3. He starts masturbating. This is the part I really don't get. It even seems from the story at first some of these women are still massaging him while he is masturbating. Then they had enough but they don't leave the room?
4. He stands up and starts masturbating. Why are you still in the room if you don't have a part in this matter?
5. He explodes all over you. Why are you this close or even in the same room? Only way I see this happening is if a. she was involved b. he forced her to do this act. I guess he could have followed her around the house while beating it but it doesn't seem realistic.

It seems like a case where she was into it at first and even did stuff to go along with it but then feeling regrets after OR it's all made up to get a big chunk of money. If he forced her to do it you think that would be a main point in her story and the criminal charges would have went further in some of these cases.

I'm not saying all the stories are cases like this bc there are so many different stories but just this particular case. A few are like this though.

I totally agree it's often tough to prove a r*pe as nearly all are he said she said and no witnesses. Genuinely curious, though, if you believe the last person's story. THAT is very hard to believe.

Might have mentioned but not sure, but the number of cases almost makes it less believable to me. Pardon the pun, but the way Buzbee went looking for people why not "shoot your shot"?

It might be more believable if there was a single victim or a few. Some of these stories just don't make sense.

Apologies if wrong, but all these stories about women being mortified/abused and not 1 person called the police?

Nobody will give a shit about this but me. But I wanted to mention it anyway.

Turned the tube on for the first time today and First Take's on. Screamin' A was having a conversation with someone called MagDog.

This guy put together his top 5 list of the toughest players all time.

1. MJ

2. Kobe

3. Maurice Lucas

4. Dave Cowens

5. Gus Johnson

Gus Johnson's a HOFer from Akron, OH. and was high school teammates with fellow HOFer Nate Thurmond.

Does seeing 66 different massage therapist in a little over a year make sense?
