Oh, no doubt...as mentioned e few posts ago a guy gets a narrative on him and nothing will change it. For some I think Baker would need to play very well for a month beating elite teams and it MIGHT do it. In truth, I think most hated the pick the second it was made and would rather be right and he fail than their team to well. and, yes, for some fans I'm sure the flag was why they didn't want him. Odd, to say the least.

Looking at schedules next couple weeks of the other potential WCs this is a near must win (with solid opponents coming up for us). and, yes, despite all the guys out would be a bad loss. almost would prefer the rookie play for them and not Glennon.

I agree most didn't like the pick from the beginning. I'll always be critical of Mayfield. But I don't want him to fail. And for any Browns fans out there with that kinda thinking stop rooting for them & root for the Bengals instead.

I'm causiously optimsitic they go 4-2 & finish at 11-5. Might be wishful thinking. Of the six I expect the Browns to be the underdogs against the Titan & Ravens. And far as finishing the season with the Steelers. They should have everything wrapped up by week 17 & might sit some starter. So the Browns could be the favorites in that one.

Just so great having an adult in charge. Maybe you can think of something, but I really cannot think of any "WTF moments" he has had which Freddie had nearly every game.

So many keep crying we only beat bad teams this year, but guess what....Last year with as much talent we lost to Brandon allen making first start ever for Denver. The Duck for Pittsburgh. a 1-15 bengals team. a 5-10-1 AZ team. win 3-4 of those and they have 9-10 wins.

Of course, do that and Dorsey/Freddie still here so I guess it worked out for the best.

The first step the Browns have to take is beating teams they should beat. And I think they've done that so far. Two of the three losses have obviously been bad ones. Getting blown out by the Steelers & Ravens sucked.

And you're right about the WTF moments from last year. Don't recall seeing or hearing anything like that this year.

Isn't to say we win, but if they win this week I wont be surprised at all if they are slight favorites next week. Maybe even against Bmore depending what they do.

I don't get the "Steelers will have it wrapped up" narrative and I hear it a lot. still 5 games left before then, only one bye, and KC only a game behind.

Yep...and no doubt we need to take next step and beat some better teams (or not get blwon out by good ones). Indy no slouch, though.

And, hell, we beat Bmore 2018 and last year....didn't help us much.

Damn. Steelers have more games against above .500 teams than I thought. And good call on KC. Kinda forgot about them.

Speaking of the Ravens did you hear about L. Jackson? He's now in virus protocol. Saw it mentioned in a different thread.

but I hope you are right that for whatever reason steelers don't need the win...at the very least could make up for 2007 when we needed an Indy win and Manning sat out.

Haven't heard if it means he's out yet, but did hear. Have to think being the QB not gonna be good for contract tracing.

Looking like it's gonna be RG III time for the Ravens on Sunday. The Steelers D has to be smiling about that.

To say Stefanski wants a game manager for his offense and when things are working that is best, is absolutely fair. To try and rip Baker (as some have, not necessarily you) for playing how he's asked is absurd. and calling him one after the last game seems odd 9as some did). a number of downfield passes and 9.3 yards/pass? I mean, should they throw more with elite RBs, a lead in bad weather?

If Baker fails on this team (as many say he will) it will be because he is NOT a game manager.

FYI, if the Browns lost 51-45 with baker balling out, his critics would then say, "but he didn't win". Kid got ripped earlier in wins because while nursing a lead he did what a game manager does not do and tried to do to much...ending in INTs.

I don’t think he should be getting ripped either. He is doing his job.

At some point, he needs to do more to beat the Pittsburgh’s and the KC’s of the world.

But he is doing just fine.

I was already having a great tThanksgiving, but Jerry Jones was such a kind giving owner that he put that slop on a football field to entertain the multitudes. thank you, "America's Team..." :dhd:
