Yeah, I think he is going to be in the Eli Manning/Matthew Stafford category.

They are solid franchise QBs. They are good enough to win with when you surround them with talent and a good scheme.

There will be good years and bad years. And if you get hot at the right time you might even sneak a Super Bowl.
Really just don't get the psychology behind his detractors who are Browns fans in the groups I'm in. Happened again after another solid performance. 65% passing, 8.9 yards/pass, 2 TDs and again no INTs. Did he have another incredibly awful pass in end zone? Yep. But he also had a number of pinpoint laser throws to covered receivers (and a pass in EZ dropped). and again the team won. Yes, a bad team but these same fans used to say Ws all that mattered when he played well and lost.

whatever...8-3 not what I expected.

who remembers these pearls of wisdom by Chris simms and the many fans who took his words for gospel? Some of the worst sports takes ever, and that's not even in hindsight. That they really thought they only hired Stefanski because he became available sooner was so beyond absurd, and they reported it as if it was fact. They knew irrational critics would eat it up. Couldn't be that they wanted to hire him a year earlier and he was their guy? Do these guys ever come back and admit to how wrong they were, or do they just move on to their next set of ridiculously bad takes?

Very few ever do and none of their "colleagues" ever call them out on it.

That stuff always reminds me of when Magic was on ESPN and the Lakers got Dwight and Nash. He was on there talking about how "the Lakers are back", they were gonna win titles, he was praising the front office for yet another brilliant move to get the Lakers back on top, etc., etc.

Then, when it all fell apart, he eviscerated the Lakers FO and talked about how dumb it was to acquire old Steve Nash and Dwight's attitude issues. Not once did he own what he said when the trades first happened and no one called him out.

The only one I can think of who routinely owns when he's wrong is Cowherd who has a "Where Colin was right/Where Colin was wrong" segment on his show.

Little accountability. This one by Simms and crew could not have been more off base. Pretty sure they were way off on everything they said.

Luckily the guy who matters - Stefanski - is not afraid to have Baker win the game for us if it's what D is giving us.

He was nearly flawless.

Don't like foot coming off gas, but common in all sports with a huge lead. Would be nice if WRs caught the perfectly thrown passes on 3rd down.

9-3!!

Yeah should have been 42 pts and 5 TD’s for Baker. Still in shock with that 1st half performance and they made enough plays in the 2nd half even though the refs wanted TEN to win, at least it seemed like it!

Baker stepped up to the plate and hit a homerun.

Holy crap was Myles held on every play? Held and a facemask on the last one before the TD.

Mentioned this in another thread. Didn't like the second half play calling. 25 first half passes. 8 in the second half. The result of the game was great. Doesn't 9-3 sound nice?

yah higgins and landry dropped easy 3rd down conversions in the 2nd half....plus the refs just called the game to the score.

Garrett got held so bad on some of those plays it was absolutely ridiculous. that one towards the end was just pathetic. It was one of the worst holdsi have ever seen

but- as you said 9-3........gotta say for how the Browns have been- that is amazing. No reason they cant get to at least 11 wins with the Ravens, Jets, Giants and Steelers left.

another comment I loved was when announcer mentioned TN treated the game like we did last year, believing their own press clippings. so true.

to be fair, Stefanski does not call for WRs to drop perfectly thrown balls on 3rd down.

Glad ya got to see that one I bet.

was screaming on some of those noncalls. And the last one he was held AND there was a facemask.

If we get nothing else from this season I am certain we found our coach.
