I thought it was poorly played basketball for being the two best teams in the country. Just an animal ball hack fest. Shot making was meh.

Well obviously that's why the NBA rightly has become what it's become.

Seems like they are balancing out scoring the last month also.

Such a weird team though. To have such bad guard play and make the finals.

Smith is OK I guess.

Colvin was supposed to be good and that was a big no

That’s like 12 straight blow outs for UConn in this tournament over 2 years. College basketball is just a shitty product right now.

Obviously vet experience is more important than raw talent right now. Especially when the coaches can't seem to figure out how to build a team with them.

The transfer for portal with hoops is pretty goofy also. Some guys decisions to move schools are real head scratchers.

But overall as has been said over and over they really need to make this a 2 and done situation and I'd also limit transfers to players that have spent at least 2 years at the school or they have to sit out the year.

I am going back to the Boban comparison.

Maybe Edey moves his feet a little better than Boban does. I don’t know.

But those who say the comparison is disrespectful to Edey?

For his career, Boban’s per 36 in the NBA is 22.9 and 14.8 on 59% from the field and 76% from the line.

Boban can put up stats. Coaches just can’t keep him in the court because he can’t move.

I will be very surprised if Edey’s career per 36 is anywhere near that good. I don’t believe he is as skilled as Boban.

Better defender overall, better chance of getting minutes. Not as good offensively IMO.

Damn….

Boban is even better than I thought

Yeah that makes it harder for edey

How do you think Yao would do today?

It’s trash

Narrow the lane back to what it was intended to be

I don’t want to limit the freedom of talented people just to save a product that’s already jumped the shark.

I do

Coaches pay a buyout

Players gotta give up something

Cash or time

Pick one

That Is a part as to why it has jumped the shark though.

During the late Matta and early Holtmann years you have guys making ridiculous transfer decisions or going pro out of absolutely nowhere (Laquinton Ross) and it completely cripples what the team brings back from a continuity standpoint and ultimately killed the program from where it was.

Football is getting hit with the transfer merry go round but it has not trickled into the product because you have continuity with 3 years and obviously a much larger roster.

Not great.

Same issues, but maybe he was a good enough shot blocker to make himself playable.

Twitter melting down over the call, people saying its rigged.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HAS ARRIVED FOLKS!
Ha!!

and as always the rigged calls are kooky talk. I mean, if it was there was a much better foul call they could have made when Iowa had the ball...but they let it go. Never mind if rigged for Iowa someone is not good at rigging to let it go to the last shot.

He was looking great with improved velocity. That just means they will get a head start for a guy or too. Maybe Joey Cantillo. Gavin Williams on IR is really weakening their rotation.
any chance his agent does the right thing and what might be best for team/player? Maybe sign him to a 2 year deal for $20-30 mil to get him some good money and re-established to try again? also maybe team can get something for him if they want?

Only if he is taken in the top 10.

Don’t think that will happen.

Betting he is late first or early 2nd.
does he even cost a guy his job in top 10? I mean, once you get past the clear early picks (and tbh haven't even paid attention who they are this year) the draft becomes a crapshoot.

There are zero clear picks
