Probably a bunch of damn message board geeks

Nah, they were actually discussing it on a couple of legit shows and it made the newswire that scrolls on ESPN. I did see that the tweet that started it can no longer be found. lol

Just had an earthquake here in nyc/nj
People here are texting me “did you feel that”. I didn’t feel shit. So disappointed. I forget that we actually have a fault line in the tristate area cause we rarely get that shit.

Dodgers with a potential "unforced error" re: Ohtani's 1st home run ball.

Apparently, the woman who caught the ball was taken to a room by stadium security where she was separated from her husband, both were told they couldn't consult with each other and she was pressured into accepting 2 caps, a bat and a ball in trade. She was also apparently told that if she left the stadium with the ball, it wouldn't be authenticated.

Personally, if that's me...I'm telling them that "I have the ball and there's video of me catching it and being escorted from my seat by security with the ball and that's all the authentication I need. Here's my number, call me when you have a serious offer".

The guy who wrote the article about it was on Dan Patrick Show and said the Dodgers haven't made a public statement, but that it looks like no one in the organization knew what happened and that they will be reaching out to the fan to make it right.
