I’m sorry man. Washington had a ton of opportunities but when something did happen they got a penalty, some bogus calls. I saw a total of at least 5 or 6 plays Michigan had clear holding. That game was officiated so lopsided it was pretty clear
I won’t push back on this conclusion but this particular circumstance isn’t his fault. He was set up to fail. They didn’t even do the change until after the bye. He’s running another coach’s system using another coaches terminology.
He should have never been named OC in New England. He was out of his element and to be the leader in the offensive room was flawed from the jump.
It’s not likely Siriani’s decision. Lurie and Howie Roseman are micromanagers. They fired a Super Bowl winning coach in Doug Pederson because he wasn’t cool with the front office demanding he change OC. They’re definitely the ones who made the decision to swap the DC that they hired in the first place. This aspect of things isn’t on Siriani. It’s the launching off point of this collapse. You can’t signal to the team that you don’t have faith in the staff on one side of the ball. You create a crisis of confidence in a group that was already limited. It was the kiss of death.
