This isn’t true

Jordan Travis is a Heisman finalist level qb
I read his comment as excluding Travis because of the broken bone. FSU didn’t have their back up for the Florida game to end the season. I assume he meant the back up.

There are no rules defined (are there?), but they do use logic to make their decisions.
OK....but they went against what their logic had been in past seasons.

I'm asking what you'd like the rules to be.

Yes, Michigan has a great defense and their offense isn’t completely terrible, but there is still an element of the old Big 10 two yards and a cloud of dust. What settles it for me is I know Washington’s offense is much better than Alabama. Plus they contained Oregon’s offense well enough in my mind.
Not a conference guy (if that even matters since both are pretty much in BIG) so I'm hoping you are right.

The ncaa tournament committee for hoops has 100% taken injuries into account before

Why should the cfp be different?

That's what I'm rooting for, but Michigan's D is tougher than Texas'. I'm torn on this one.
Me, too...and not because I hope UM loses. Just haven't watched UW enough. If they can stop UM' O like they did Oregon I think they should win.

Meh. He's a sixth year senior and finished 5th. He only had 12 more votes than Milroe and was 267 votes out of 4th. If it was only a QB award, maybe.

I think they should be able to do that, I'm more worried about Michigan stopping them.

Cool....I get they are entitled to go against what had been their rules. Let OSU in with their 3rd string QB.

Heard Browns are starting Driskell.....might as well in case need a backup in a playoff game.

are we talking next season? For sure we are contenders. OL help would certainly help but if guys many think are staying on D stay should have an elite D. I think comes down to QB more than OL......doesn't mean OL help not needed.
He is talking about Chicago

Jordan Travis is a great college QB. I don’t think that point can be argued. Splitting hairs over Heisman votes for a player who finished the season injured doesn’t move the needle on that reality.

With how injury plagued this season has been for our team smart to sit him. Hopefully other starters also won't play.

Big difference though in seeding and being left out in the lurch with no chance at even competing.

I mean it’s really a matter of just a bigger pool if cbb did a four man tourney teams with injuries would’ve gotten left out

Milroe >>>>>>>>>> than healthy QB on the Florida State roster. No comparison. Florida State wouldn't move the ball against Michigan. I am not downplaying Florida St's defense, they were legit, but you must not be remembering those couple games with those slapdicks. They had a couple of long runs. The QB's were awful and if you add in turnovers the game is not closer than Bama made it.

lol

So you've now moved to trying to predict what would happen in a game that hasn't been played to back your point.

This is where you should probably just concede.

One more game wasn't going to eclipse that big of a gap to get him into the top 4. That's all I'm saying.

Where is he projected for the draft? He hasn't been mentioned at all, seems an oversight. PFF has him at #154, which might make some sense with his injury, will likely need to redshirt essentially. However, he's below Milroe (at #110), which I can't support (even if he was going to declare, which he isn't).

Speaking of which, has Sanders declared? He's still in their rankings too. Deion said he's coming back, but that was 2 months ago with no confirmation yet.

LOL, what? He's responding to the projection that FSU would compete well with Michigan with a backup QB. Both sides are conjecture.

The hell it wasn't. They couldn't include Alabama without Texas because of the head-to-head. That's why Texas was ranked ahead of Alabama.

There was nothing to be "tightly contested" until ESPN started their narrative and the committee decided to change established precedent.

This was set up to be the easiest selection process the committee has ever had. They had 3 unbeaten P5 conference champs and 2 one loss P5 conference champs with a head-to-head...yet they still managed to do the most profitable thing and create controversy while also getting 2 classic games and all time best TV ratings on the first one (with Alabama).

Had they just followed established precedent, there would have been zero controversy.

Predict. We have game film to watch. Go ahead and look back at those games. Did they look like a top 4 team the final two games? Simple question. If you can't say definitive yes to the question then you found your answer. You are arguing with a wall right now. The committee made the right decision, it might not be perfect but the Florida St QB play was atrocious without Travis. That isn't predicting, that is a fact.
