Look at the injuries to the Browns OL and they are on their 4th QB this season. Yet they are winning games.....

Meanwhile the Jets continue to lose in new ways.....

Saleh may be a dead man walking.

I don't think that would be fair but him benching Wilson for Boyle was horrible.

They have no point regardless.

nope.

You lose your last game and expect to be included over 4 teams that have a same or identical record and didn't? And you lost to one of them and the other one beat the team you just lost to.

the other 2 are undefeated.

It's a ridiculous argument. And I say that as an OSU fan that's been on a short end of a few situations like this (2015) where they were clearly the best their conference had to offer and just shit the bed one day.

Thank God for 12 team playoff it's the only thing that will save the ship from going down.

Former NY Giants RB Derrick Ward was arrested for multiple robberies in the Los Angeles area.

Bail is 250k.

Exactly, whether FSU beats Georgia or not, doesn't change the fact that as an undefeated P5 champion, FSU should have been in the playoff.

The funny thing is that after all the years of controversy and bullshit...going all the way back to the BCS...this should have been the easiest one to get right.

You had 3 undefeated P5 conference champions and two 1 loss P5 conference champions who had a head-to-head.

You go with the 3 undefeated teams and the team that won the head-to-head.

Yet somehow, the committee managed to fuck it up and create what may be the biggest controversy we've had.

Amen on the 12-ream playoff.

If their QB was healthy, they would've been in. When you leave these things up to votes, they can project however they wish.

I understood the reasoning behind it but disagree with the decision.

The decision to have Boyle on the roster might be the bigger issue. Why have someone you can't trust as a fill-in on the roster, especially when that player is far removed from any remaining upside? Rostering Aaron's caddy is pointless.

Which has always been the problem. The committee has never operated within set guidelines. This is just the most egregious case. Additionally, it goes against prior precedent.

They are excluding FSU because they would be using a backup QB, but they let tOSU in despite them having to start Cardale "We ain't here to play school" Jones who was their 3rd string QB.

The difference? tOSU's inclusion didn't exclude SEC teams and FSU's would have.

to be fair Cardale was fresh off winning 58 to 0 in the big ten title game and Braxton Miller was never a qb again

Obviously the drop-off at qb with FSU was enormous but yes an inconsistent decision

True. The reason I disagreed with it is that Wilson was drafted to be their next franchise QB and the results so far have been mixed at best. Rodgers going down in the first game gave them a bit of a pass for this season.

It was a great opportunity to see if Wilson really is that guy. If not, with Rodgers looking at playing a couple more years it would give them a chance to move off of Wilson and draft another QB. This QB draft looks deep, so there's a strong chance they could get their next QB and given him a couple of seasons to learn from Rodgers. I heard yesterday that some are saying that Jaden Daniels could drop as low as 10th.

Of course, there's also the chance that they have already decided to move off of Wilson and that's why they went ahead and sat him. Sitting him seemed to cause unnecessary drama.

From what I've read, the Jets have already told Wilson they intend to trade him after the season. Maybe that decision had already been made when they started Boyle.

Not sure how huge the drop off may have been. They won their CCG with the 3rd string guy, but the 2nd string guy is who would have been playing in the cfp.

That would definitely make playing Boyle make more sense. Keep Wilson healthy and also keep some of his trade value intact.
