Hes wrong on that. They were in bunch trips and Toney was the up man in the bunch. If he’s taking more ground it backs the defense up and it gives the other two guys in the bunch even more room to get off the line of scrimmage and avoid a jam. There’s a reason you have to respect the neutral zone in a game of inches.

He does have a point here. It’s the job of the lineman to give the WR guidance when he lines up. Technically the WR has the onus of looking to the sideline and asking for help but that’s usually not a procedure they adhere to. They generally say “19 move back” or “19 move up”.
