Simply put cfb is a shit show

It's the reason why they are switching to 12.
There will be more changes in the future but there were a ton of people complaining only 2 were making it while others sports more teams had a chance (pre CFP). Baby steps. There has been more good than bad with CFP. Most years they did completely fine, one year isn't changing that.
Really doesn't matter now. Not one team can bitch about not making a 12-team playoff. Only bitching could be about the byes.

Only two teams will be possibly playing the same as in an NFL season so no change is needed for now.

1 Conf championship game
4 possible CFP games

I agree. Im just backing up @trojanfan12 point from yesterday. They used to be so concerned about the # of games played and now these kids are playing a regular nfl season schedule

This year has nothing to do with past years.

My overall point is that you can’t fairly and effectively project “4 best” when we have such uneven scheduling around college football.

That will always be the problem regardless of the number of teams in the playoffs. In fact, if 12 get in, there will probably be a dozen more with legit arguments to get those last 4 spots or so.
