@WiggyRuss did you see my mediocre 3B tonight? All he did was play winning baseball. The Phil’s are built to hit right handed pitching. They count on their RH bats to come through when a team comes with a lefty.

First AB with 2nd and 3rd he comes through with a fly ball to RF corner and Phils 3B coach Dusty Wathan (made 3 poor decisions tonight) didn’t send Schwarber.
2nd AB he pulls the ball for a double with a runner on 2B and puts the Phil’s on the board in the third.

In the 7th as the Marlins are rallying he keeps a hard hit ball in the IF saving a run and almost throwing a guy out. They get out of that inning unscathed if Wheeler doesn’t have a brain fart and forget to cover 1st on a ball to the right side.

How did the Guards do tonight? How many WARs do you get for knocking in a 2 out run and saving a run in the field?

Cleveland has to catch lightning in a bottle to win it all. they have come close several times but their best runs were back when the Financials were closer

It's pretty easy to see in my own team. Detroit went from one of the worst teams in baseball history in 03 to the world series in 06. Smart trades and a committed owner. So we are year 7 in the rebuild in Detroit because his son is a cheap fuck.

In no other sport does location and owner matter more. As you pointed out Billy Beane won fuck all in the playoffs despite completely changing how people saw analyzing talent
