Yeah....I saw something on ESPN that Freeman hasn't beaten a ranked team. Not sure if it's true or one of their many errors.

Last season N.D. beat a ranked BYU team (# 16), a ranked Syracuse team (# 16) a ranked Clemson team (# 4) and beat a ranked S. Carolina team (# 19) in a bowl game. 4-2 vs. ranked teams. Lost to Ohio State (# 2) and USC (# 6).

This season N.D. has beaten a ranked dook team (# 17). 1-1 so far this season vs. ranked teams.

I'm coming from the outside, but would Domer fans really want him back? Freeman still has to grow as a coach. @bksballer89 @fightinfunbags what are your thoughts? I'd stay with you have versus taking Brian Kelly back in a hypothetical scenario.

I haven’t been pleased with some of Marcus Freeman’s growing pains as a head coach but he gets ND which is hard to find. BK is a great example of someone who saw ND as a roadblock or hindrance and not an asset in the way he sold the university. I want to give him more than one season and a few games into 2023. He’s got a team that’s been better than everyone on his schedule to this point. I think his offensive staff is out of whack and needs either:
1) Time to evolve and grow up
2) Be addressed by firing and replacing some components.

I've reversed my stance on Freeman, I think he's solid. He needs to network on the offensive side of the ball more; that could be an issue with being such a young coach is he doesn't have as large of a network yet. He needs to get rid of Al Golden though as his DC, just my opinion.

You may still have Al Golden PTSD. He’s been pretty solid in that post at ND so far. He’s been much better than either of Freeman’s OCs.

Guessing you heard Watson questionable......Not one of those Belichick everyone is questionable deals either. Shut him down from throwing for the 3rd time this week, I believe. Stefanski like any coach offered nothing. Said he was hopeful.
