@fightinfunbags lets hope they let Wheeler go 6..........fuck please.

picked up Hunter Greene for a spot start- thats looking good so far

get 10 starts this week since its an expanded "week" until the end of the season.

List of hitters I have lost for the season in fantasy baseball--- Tatis Jr., Buxton, Bryant, JRod. Thats like half an all star team. If not for masterful manager skills id be toast.

Add on Verlander and Wheeler hurt during the first week of the playoffs, and only going for a combined 10 IP so far through the first 2 rounds due to injury.

in my fantasy football league, i had the 3rd pick after keepers were decided (everyone gets 1 keeper- and they HAVE TO keep at least 1 guy). Mine was Swift.

I had the 3rd pick and the best guys on the board were Kamara, Mixon and Jefferson. I wanted Jefferson but was sure he would not be there. He was.

Still- Jefferson sucked last week. lol

If Kamara and Mixon were drafted over Justin Jefferson in a league where you can keep 1 player?

Your league is trash and you play with fools.

Jefferson is a top 4 dynasty pick.

Miles better than Kamara or Mixon for the long term and probably better this year too.

I was absolutely shocked.

When I looked back- the two guys ahead of me had kept WR so thats the only thing I could think

Its a 14 team league so they prob. did not want to be without a RB- esp. at the top of the draft when they would not pick again forever.

This is my team and draft order in the 14 teamer--- not high stakes- but not low either at $100

Kept: Swift
1R: Jefferson
2R: Pitts
3R: Dobbins
4R: M. Thomas
5R: A. Cooper
6R: TJ Watt (you start 3 defensive players- one in each level of the defense- prob. an overdraft but he is so dominant)
7R: Stafford
8R: M. Gordon
9R: K. Cousins
10R: R. Mostert
11R: DPJ
12R: D. Watson
13R: K. Golladay
14R: B. Baker
15R: M. Ingram
16R: T. Edmunds

a couple more rounds but it gets irrelevant after that pretty much- esp. in such a deep leageue

I mentioned this in another comment, I didn't realize how bad his numbers are through three games this season. That's on me for not looking them up.

I was judging things on what he did in Cleveland.

Gotta remember it started out good for him. Set a rookie TD mark and went 6-7 for a team that had won 2 games the previous 2 seasons. Put together a solid but nothing special third season and won a road a playoff game. And then it all feel apart last season. He went 29-30 (with a good TD/int. ratio) for a team that went 11-53 the previous 4 seasons.

But the bottom line with him is he's never gonna be the type of QB that's a true leader, like Josh Allen (who I wanted my team to draft). The peak of his career just might turn out to be the 2020 season.
This “he won a road playoff game” narrative comes up all the time. Let’s recall what happened. After being the last team in the league to take a loss, the Steelers completely melted down losing like 5 of their last 6 games or something like that. The playoff game was over in like the first 6 minutes as the Steelers just imploded and gave up short fields and a 21-0 lead. That’s not on Bowel Movement. That’s on the Steelers for shitting the bed. If a QB can’t find a win in that spot they shouldn’t even be carrying a clipboard and wearing a ball cap as a back up in the NFL.

since 2016- you can make the case that Jose Ramirez has been the best player in baseball. Trout, Betts are prob. the other 2. Trout has been hurt an awful lot though.

They just aren’t athletes that go next level with pressure on. At least the Brewers lost. Magic number is 7 with 9 to play for the Phil’s and 8 for the Brewers.

I think he is firmly in the same category as Wentz and Trubisky.

He has had some pretty good moments, but push comes to shove, the lows and the downside outweighs it.

It is why the Browns dealt for Watson, and why other teams weren’t eager to scoop him up.

And if he doesn’t turn it around soon, his days as a starter might be numbered.

His days as a starter could very well be numbered. Can't imagine many teams would even been interested in him. Due to how he acted on his way outta Cleveland I'm enjoying his failures so far this season.

A couple of things have worked against him, imo.

First, he was badly overdrafted. Dude is a game manager who ended up as the #1 pick overall. Had he been drafted properly, no one would be talking about this.

He had a head coach who was in over his head and didn't/couldn't develop him.

When he finally got a coach who seems to know what he's doing, he got injured and tried to play through it.

Those aren't his fault.

He's also been pretty immature. Early in his career he seemed more interested in making commercials than working on his game. Then later in his career he got in his feels over criticism, etc.

That part is on him.

No doubt he wasn't worth being a # 1 pick. His second year, Freddie Kitchens was a total disaster (like you mentioned).

And good point about his immature attitude. It's almost like during his time with Browns his mistakes weren't his fault in his mind.

Hey I know you like to bash all things Cleveland, you even said as much just a few weeks ago that it was going to be an agenda for you this season.

Yesterday you tried to diminish something the baseball team has done. Getting to the playoffs while playing 16 different rookies. No team's done that before.

I find it a bit odd that after you said you're gonna go outta your way to talk trash about anything Cleveland sports related you can't give the Browns any credit for finally winning a playoff game.

city size does not always necesarily determine fan base size

for instance, the Browns have a much bigger fan base than any LA football team in its history

also- not surprised Gonsolin got hurt- what is he at ? 128 IP? Thats like double his career high in the majors

Gonsolin is already making rehab starts. Everyone gets hurt at some point. LOL at rooting for injuries to prove a point.

I didn't say anything about city size, and LA is not a factor in this Cubs vs Indians world series discussion.

Explain why the Rams have two guys near the top of jersey sales, yet no Browns? Must be that huge Browns fan base doesn't like to buy jerseys?

Do Browns fans not like Instagram either?

I'm talking dedicated fanbases and Cleveland travels well, always has traveled well. LA has one of the largest cities but dedicated fanbase and actual size of fanbase...not much compared to other fanbases. Size doesn't matter in this case...as you know.

The discussion was Indians/Guardians vs Cubs. The LA straw man argument makes no sense.

Size always matters, some women just lie to be nice.

I mean, his #1 WR was at best a #2 slot guy, 2-4 WRs might not have gotten on the field for many teams - Higgins, Hodge and a 6th round rookie (DPJ). He was missing 2 OL starters AND their backups AND one of their backups.

O still moved the ball up and down the field for 3 quarters (needed to since that great D was a sieve for 3 quarters) putting up a 40 burger, 3 TD passes and no TOs.

seems like another of those unnecessary (maybe untrue) comments about the kid. Enough real ones to use. Guy often took blame for losses even when they should not have been on him.
