Uh, Hurts has only played in 2 NFL seasons. In his rookie year, he only started a few games. In his second season, he started the entire year so of course his numbers were going to go up.

That.

And every time he faced a good defense, they dared him to pass the ball downfield and he couldn’t.

Numbers lie sometimes. Trubisky posted good stats for awhile too, and then he wasn’t renewed.

Only problem is their QB situation, which is the most important position.
Co-sign. Long term, they’re in the catbird seat. They’ve taken care of nearly every position group. An older roster from 2017 has been rebooted to get much younger. The Eagles are in position to improve the QB position but I may but come this year:
Scenario 1 - Hurts proves people like me wrong and he shows you can win with him. He won’t have the excuse of an incomplete roster if he fails. At the same time, the quality roster may prop Hurts up. That’s the situation that scares me. Eagles get duped into thinking they have a QB when they really just have Jeff Blake. Good enough to give you a nice regular season but you go nowhere for 4-5 years and don’t close a deal.
Scenario 2 - It’s clear that Hurts isn’t good enough. The Eagles take their 2023 and 2024 1sts plus the Saints 2023 pick and move up into the top 3-5 to draft one of the heralded QBs available in this draft.

Now…they just have to get the evaluation right at QB, a task easier said than done.

Buffalo released OJ Howard? Damn.

And he's expected to sign with the Bengals. That's an upgrade over Hayden Hurst.

I don't know that a potential playoff team wants to trust him at starting LT, but he certainly can be a swing tackle to develop further.
Their OL was already questionable before Tyron got hurt.....they pretty much need a body at this point.

Brutal.

They said the Raiders reached out to all 32 teams about a trade and no one offered anything for Leatherwood.

Another reason why while draft picks are great- they surely dont guarantee anything.

While the Raiders reached for Leatherwood- many had him at a 2nd round draft grade. Not many 2nd rounders get cut after 1 year- if any.

32? Did they try to trade him to themselves? Or back to Alabama?

I wouldn't bet on that. Howard failed to distinguish himself from the rest of the Bills TE depth chart and was playing into the 4th quarters in the preseason. He may be more well rounded than Hurst?

That's true of a lot of teams. That said, when a poorly ranked OL ditches their 1st round tackle, he may not be an upgrade you can rely on for the near future.

Our OL is poorly ranked?

Okay, they about to prove you wrong this season.

Not my ranking, they can prove someone else wrong if they like lol. I would say 29th (on both lists) is poor, yes?

They don't even have the right starting lineup.

We'll see.

Keep finding them @trojanfan12

Nate Sudfeld has started no NFL games, he has completed 25 of 37 passes for 188 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and has a 77.3 PR. Just released by the Niners yesterday and signed by the Lions today to be Goff's backup.

Net worth is 6 million.

Would not surprise me in the least

As I have said from the beginning-I wish the Browns never dealt for Watson and still had Baker and 3 first round picks. I would love to see Baker and Chris Olave on the team right now instead of Watson.

Baker entered the NFL coming to a team with 1 win in 2 seasons- he had 4 head coaches/offensive coordinators his first 4 years in the city. He played through some tough injuries and had some growing pains- but showed that when he is right and the team is playing well- that he can play like a top 10 QB- 2nd half of the season Browns went to the playoffs he played like a top 5 QB.

Baker does have physical limitations and game planning limitations because of his height- but there is a lot to like there.

I dont know if Baker has what it takes to win the Super Bowl if you have a team that needs a great QB though. We shall see I suppose. Carolina has some pieces but they are far from a great team.
almost has to be he goes off or has a complete meltdown, right? No in between. And the former wont surprise me at all.

I'd still make the deal.....but also wish we hung onto Baker in case Watson got a suspension of this length or longer. I think he's much better than Brissett.

Bulletin board material for the Browns....
View attachment 306826
Seen this a lot and been talked about a lot here......might be wrong, but I cannot think of another time that a team used hearsay as bulletin board material. I guess maybe it has but seems it's usually a comment we actually hear get spoken.

Stuff you don’t see happen everyday:
Howie Roseman traded first round bust Jalen Reagor today. He got more back than Dallas got for Amari Cooper. Not gonna brag too hard on this one because at the end of the day, they got shitty value for a former 1st round draft choice. I did find it shocking he got anything for a player that should have been a cut.
