Wasn't all bad.

-DE Crosby was selected in the 4th round. And he has been a beast.

-TE Foster Moreau has been a solid backup to Waller and filled in for him last season when Waller was hurt. Another 4th rounder taken in 2019.

-John Simpson was taken in the 4th round in 2020 and is a starting guard who has been pretty solid.

-Renfrow drafted in the 5th round in 2020. He's done pretty well. Don't need to say much more.

-Trevon Moehrig was taken in the 2nd round in 2021 and a solid starter at FS who had a solid training camp and is just going to get better.

-LB Divine Deablo and DE Malcolm Koonce both get an incomplete after being drafted in the 3rd round in the 2021 draft. Koonce played in just 5 games, but managed 2 sacks in those games. Deablo started just 5 games out of the 17 games he played in but he is our starting WLB and expected to be a solid contributor.

-Nate Hobbs was taken in the 5th round and a good starter at CB in 9 of 16 games. FT starter this season.

So, while it's popular to jump all over the failures.....there are several success stories in their later round picks such as Crosby, Renfrow, Moehrig, and Hobbs.

Don't be surprised if Deablo and Hobbs are a huge part of why the Raiders are successful this coming season.

Hurts numbers have gone up every season and now he has AJ Brown and Smith at WR plus Goedert at TE and Sanders at RB. No excuses, kid is set to have a breakout season.

Minshew is a solid QB and very well could be the next Fitzmagic (minus the picks). Kid can play.

As I have said from the beginning-I wish the Browns never dealt for Watson and still had Baker and 3 first round picks. I would love to see Baker and Chris Olave on the team right now instead of Watson.

Baker entered the NFL coming to a team with 1 win in 2 seasons- he had 4 head coaches/offensive coordinators his first 4 years in the city. He played through some tough injuries and had some growing pains- but showed that when he is right and the team is playing well- that he can play like a top 10 QB- 2nd half of the season Browns went to the playoffs he played like a top 5 QB.

Baker does have physical limitations and game planning limitations because of his height- but there is a lot to like there.

I dont know if Baker has what it takes to win the Super Bowl if you have a team that needs a great QB though. We shall see I suppose. Carolina has some pieces but they are far from a great team.

if he shreds the Browns D- then he will have earned it.

A lot of pass rushers and good DB's on this roster- and JOK - I think- is going to turn into one of the most versatile and best pass covering linebackers in the game.

Ward and Newsome has to be one of the best CB combos in the game. John Johnson and Delpit is a nice safety combo. Greedy a solid 3rd corner. Emerson and AJ Green nice depth corners.

If the Browns offense does not put their defense in a bad spot- they should be able to guard the pass well.

Greedy, Newsome, Delpit, Emerson, Green should all just continue to get better too. They are all super young. Delpit was a rookie last year after missing all of the season after he was drafted. Greedy has missed a lot of time but finally healthy after some serious nerve issues with his shoulder. Emerson a rookie, and AJ Green a young guy.

While it is a very talented secondary- they have the upside to being one of the very best in the game.

Another reason why while draft picks are great- they surely dont guarantee anything.

While the Raiders reached for Leatherwood- many had him at a 2nd round draft grade. Not many 2nd rounders get cut after 1 year- if any.

Uh, Hurts has only played in 2 NFL seasons. In his rookie year, he only started a few games. In his second season, he started the entire year so of course his numbers were going to go up.
