It didn't so there's no point.cool....but if it does you'd say no punishment?
Judge Robinson kind of said the same thing in her ruling. The NFL is really a joke.
Nothing they do is about justice. The things Deshaun Watson did pale in comparison to Daniel Snyder and Jerry Jones.
I have listened to so many reporters- both national and local- coming on 92.3 to talk about the Watson situation and they all basically say the same thing- the NFL is not interested in justice and fairness. They do not care one iota about doing the right thing- they just care about optics.
To quote Tyrion Lannister- "If you want justice- you have come to the wrong place".
there's no point because you'd have to contradict yourself to answer and not be scared by the hypothetical question. It didn't so there's no point.
so, yes, retaliate and break Stafford's leg (or Donald) and that's fine if done in practice?
Exactly. They just can't accept it because Garrett did that on National TV in prime time.Qb's are untouchable in practice, whether joint or otherwise. So it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison. It seems that the rule is and always has been that the teams handle practice discipline themselves. Assuming, as someone else suggested, that it's in the CBA...you can make a case that they should change that in the next one because practice incidents are now more likely to get out to the public. But for now, if that's the rule, that's the rule.
He started it. But, that doesn't matter. It said the brawl with Collins from the Bengals THROWING PUNCHES but yes let's only focus on AD lol
I can see this but have to think they'd make exceptions (is this one...not sure). Punching a ref or a fan in practice would go unpunished by the league if the team did nothing?Qb's are untouchable in practice, whether joint or otherwise. Can't accept it? I mean, as a rational adult I can see the other side and not sure this warrants a suspension due to the rules. But there would likely be exceptions such as the question about breaking stafford's leg. Maybe hitting a fan or a ref?Exactly. They just can't accept it because Garrett did that on National TV in prime time.

Who cares who started it? LOL Any players that used helmets SHOULD be suspended, are they going to be suspended is a totally different thing. I don't expect the NFL to handle this the correct way. I don't care if it's a brawl, Donald swung helmet(s) at another player and it's on video. I don't care if 20 people were involved, that's where I don't get your logic. Who the fuck cares if it's a practice? I am saying what should happen, not will happen. The NFL is a jokeProblem with what you're saying is we don't know what happened to start it. Rumor is that a Bengals player took off the helmet of a Rams player and threw it at him. Are we going to suspend players for every practice/joint practice brawl now?
It really is a shame. Regardless- a fight is one thing- using your helmet is a weapon is another thing. I would assume that using a weapon against another human being- whether on a practice field or not- is something that could lead to discipline.Judge Robinson kind of said the same thing in her ruling.
a player going nuts and swinging his helmet happens regularly? That is part of the "actual practice"?Punching a ref or fan during a practice would fall under player conduct because that would be considered outside of the actual practice since fans and refs aren't part of the team. Also, why are we picking extremes that, to my knowledge, hasn't ever happened to something that happens pretty regularly?
