Been saying for a while now there are rational republicans then the wacko faction of the GOP the Team Trumper's.

And don't get me wrong. The dem's also have their group of crazy people. But the different is it's only one side of the political isle still playing the election fraud games and still denying what really happened on Jan. 6.

So basically fucking with Team Trumper's, and again not all republicans, is just fun entertainment. Some the nonsense the crazy people believe though, woah.
Lol without naming names, some REAL flip noodles over there...

I think the "being mad" aspect is a bit overblown.

Not based on what has been reported.

Think about it. The NFL was the one professional sport that didn't have fully guaranteed contracts despite being the one who's players need them the most.

That gave them a lot more power and made it much easier to control their cap space because once they decide they're done with a player, they can just cut him. That ability gives them the chance to correct a mistake much faster than is possible in the NBA or MLB. Not to mention the money it can save. Imagine how much better the Lakers situation could be if all they had to do to remove Westbrook from their team and cap space was to cut him,

It's why, when an NFL player signs a big contract the first question asked is...how much of it is guaranteed?

It may not necessarily mean there will be a bunch of fully guaranteed contracts that start happening, but it opens a door that had previously been closed.

Add to that the fact it was given to someone who currently is in a controversial situation that is embarrassing to the league and that even guys like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady never got fully guaranteed deals...I'd say they're plenty mad.

That's interesting. I found this article.

From fadeaway-world-.com (10/22/21)

The top 10 oldest & youngest NBA teams for the 2021-22 season

Oldest teams. # 1- Lakers, 30.9

Youngest teams. # 7- Cavs, 25.0

Granted that's from last season. But I can't imagine that between the end of the season and right now that the Lakers got considerably younger while the Cavs got considerably older.

Most of that was older vets on 1 year deals who have been replaced by younger guys on 1 year deals.

Damn so they went from the oldest team in the league last season to younger than the Cavs (# 7)? You didn't say that, someone else said the Lakers are now younger than the Cavs.

Who exactly did the Lakers pick up to get younger than them?

And how many vets have the Cavs picked up to get older than the Lakers so quickly?

I know they picked up Rubio. Unless they got some other vets I'm not aware of didn't think the signing of Rubio would have made the Cavs that much older from last season.

Well, they used to have a bench full of guys like Melo, Dwight, Bradley, Ellington etc. who had been in the league a long time.

Now their bench guys are either rookies or 20
Somethings.

So they actually did get a lot younger.

wasn't Cousins' deal fully guaranteed (maybe not the last one but one before that)? Murray signed a pretty typical deal, I think, so not sure how out of whack the league has become.

I can agree the first deal of this size should not have gone to watson.

I was never questioning if they got younger though. I was questioning something else.

An NFL player asking for a trade in the last year of his deal with no extension made you laugh.....out loud?

It's the Browns. That's why. If it was any other team nothing would be mentioned.
