agree about Doc. Totally forgot about him. Think his best performance might have been, believe it or not, in the series with GS this season.

couldn't show it in NY, but I like Fizzdale.
Another good one, yes

Seems like for a long stretch it was almost a given the team GS played in playoffs would be missing their starting PG for games or entire series.

Off the top of my head I recall Conley, CP, Kyrie, Beverly, Holiday, Rubio, Parker

I don't think the series outcome would've changed had those players been healthy except maybe for Paul in last year's WCF. The Warriors were the favorites heading into all of those series. The injuries are balancing out this year, but to the Warriors' credit, they're still finding ways to win.

I think 50-50 chance Cavs win with Kyrie. The year Houston knocked them off first I think Clips with Griffin and CP would have given them a run for their money if they played.

Agree GS winning the others regardless and, yes, props to GS and Kerr this year.

Sources: Warriors want Thompson to sit Game 3

Golden State Warriors officials prefer that guard Klay Thompson sit out Wednesday's Game 3 to protect his sore hamstring for the rest of the NBA Finals, but Thompson has continued to lobby them to play, league sources told ESPN.

A final decision on Thompson's status will be made closer to tip-off.

Thompson injured his hamstring in the second half of the Warriors' win over the Toronto Raptors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night. He was unable to return to the game.

Thompson said Tuesday that he's "a game-time decision, but personally it's hard to see me not playing," then added "if there's any pain, it will be a no-go, because of the position we are in. This could be a long series."

So....maybe Klay will come off the bench tonight instead of starting?

LOL

That would be an awesome weapon to use if needed.

If anything, he could be used as a deterrent/decoy to free up Steph from the Box & 1 double team he's been getting.

Really sounds like he's not going to play. If the Raptors lose this game with no Durant/Thompson/Looney and Iggy limpy, the NBA should just cancel the rest of the Finals. Give the Warriors the trophy tonight

Doubt that. Either he's cleared to play and will start, or he will sit. I hope he sits. It sounds like it's very risky for him play.

Yeah..I'm all about erring on the side of caution....but we'll see how it goes down.
Some players just heal much faster than others..and the hammy is a tricky thing.

Perhaps it's more bark and bluster than bite with him..and I believe deep down he know's it's probably best for him & for the team to wait until game 4.

But then no one is "one of the best in the game". Other than Popovich, is there any coach currently in the league you think is a good coach?
Popovich is even MORE over rated. Fucker poached that coaching job after making the previous dude tank for Duncan. He gets a pass nowadays because he's a funny interview in the same way Belichik is.

And now, to sit back and collect the face palms from butthurt pussies

Kerr took a 6th seed and turned them into a Champion and back to back finals appearances before KD. So doing that doesn't validate him as a coach? LOL.

He didn't miraculously show up and inherit the #1 seed in 2015. He turned that team into the #1 seed. Before the season started would you have seriously ranked Golden State as top 3 seed in the West that year? No, because no sane person would have.

Here were the Preseason Odds for the teams projected to win a championship.

Early NBA Preseason 2014-15 Title Odds for All 30 Teams

1) Cavs - 5/2
2) Spurs - 4/1
3) Thunder 11/2
4) Bulls - 11/2
5) Clippers - 10/1
6) Rockets - 20/1
7) Mavericks - 20/1
8) Warriors - 25/1

The Warriors by odds makers were projected to be the 6th seed in the West after the Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, Rockets, and Mavericks.

To compound your argument, I remember when Mark Jackson got fired and was replaced with Kerr. At the time, a majority of us thought Jackson took this group as far as they could go. @Hambombs was the only one whom I remember stood hard on the issue and cited that this group could be much better with the right coach. One of the all-time owned arguments on this forum goes to him.

Yeah I believe I was skeptical, not of firing Mark Jackson, but in hiring Kerr. Really wasn't sold on someone with no coaching experience taking over, but it turned out to be a great move.
