Nope, you don't have to be set. You can still be moving and still get a charge call.
My bad then I guess. So was that play a charge in your opinion?

No it was still a block, but Lebron was still getting to the primary defensive position, as KD was going up. You can see his left foot still sliding over. It's closer than most people thing by definition of the rule, IMO. You can still be moving, BUT you have to be in the defensive position first in order to draw the charge. Lebron was not because he was still sliding over to the spot as KD was going up.

The situations in which you'll mostly see a player in motion get a charge called is when they're a primary defender. Like if Lebron was guarding KD and as KD drove, Lebron guessed correctly and beat him to the spot, he doesn't have to be set to draw a charge. It's much, much harder to get that same call as a secondary defender though,

No, tie game you ALWAYS take the shot because you're playing with house money. LBJ DID NOT want to play another 5 min.
And that is the reason LeBron had that funny look on his face - in which he was questioning Jr Smith's sanity:lol:

Don't bet on it.
Anything is possible, but I think it's a bit unfair to accuse someone without evidence. In this country a man is innocent until proven guilty and up to now LeBron has passed all of his random drug tests without any issues and every player is randomly tested several times a year - even in the summer - Just saying

They did have a timeout left and you can see LeBron try to call it with about 1.5 seconds left but the ref didn't see it I guess.
The announcer said the Cavs did not have a time out left - if what you say is correct then the Cavs got screwed - Either way they should have shot that ball - I was surprised when they didn't -because if they had shot it with the clock winding down - I think that game would have been over

I'm sure Olidipo & the Pacers agree since they didn't even bother to review that block/goal tend call

No doubt but at least they had an equally egregious call go their way too. Plus they lost by 3 anyway.

I hope neither gets suspended TBH. It's the finals, shit happens. Again unless it's super egregious, fine him at worst and move on.

The only interesting thing here is really Love's situation. This exact situation happened with the Suns and Spurs with Robert Horry and Steve Nash. The NBA suspended Amare (maybe someone else too) for the following game after leaving the bench. They didn't even join in the altercation.

That would be a huge slap in the face to that Suns team.

I mean, if you're a suns fan, don't you want to see the league learn from their mistakes and not continue repeating them?

Which they have, we've seen them be much more spirit of the law, especially in the playoffs, ever since. It happened a month ago in the Jazz Thunder series.

This is a solid point. And like I've already said, if it gets called a charge live, I don't really give it a second thought.

Yeah, I don't know I'd go so far as to they got screwed for that.

You'd hope the ref will be able to notice and give them the timeout, but with 1.5 seconds left you can't just expect to get that, unless its a situation where you've told them you're gonna secure the rebound and call it right away or something.
