In my opinion it's just more bad luck than Lebron not coming through. Had either the Spurs or OKC been in the finals they'd probably be favorites over the Cavs too.

It is just a jam packed strong heavy Western Conference and the East is dominated by 1 team (cavaliers). Really Cleveland has been untested all season and playoff long. Meanwhile be it Spurs, Thunder or Warriors, the West has been battle tested and prepared.
