its just so awesome.

all the pressure is gone. The game is going to be so free and easy for these guys next year. The East is totally SCREWED for years to come.

no one is TOUCHING the Cavs in the East for the foreseeable future. WHEN they get back to the Finals next year it will be another battle- whether its GSW or OKC or SAS or LAC or whoever- maybe they win- maybe they dont......

but what we DO KNOW- is that everyone here will be watching a LOT OF Cavs great winning basketball for a long time to come.

This. I have no context to judge their play historically. All I have is the fact that over 100 games, the Warriors scored a shitton of runs, and then when they played the Cavs they didn't.

I've acknowledged that there may be something other than great Cavs D that stopped that offensive juggernaut, but "because I watched the game" is not the answer.

In my opinion, @gordontrue and @CitySushi sushi are the best posters I've seen on this thread. We've got Gordo's opinion. Now, would City weigh in? Was the Cavs defense in the finals nothing special?

No, they didn't. I think that was already proven by someone in this thread with numbers from game 7. They shot significantly worse when covered tightly by the Cavs than when they were open.
