Me and the guys
Pick is in...
Love some baseball. How about this....say there's 8 teams....pool is any player since 1970, each team gets 4 HOFers, but they all have to be 1 position group..... meaning you could have all HOF IF, 1st, 2nd, SS and 3rd but no P's or OF's. Or 3 OF's and a C, or 4 SP's or 4 RP's. It's up to each team which grouping they pick, and they can start in round 1 or wait and see how it develops. There could be 8 teams taking all HOF SP's, or two at each groupSo, i'm starting to kick around ideas for a baseball draft next...
I like both ideas it gives us a larger and easier to access player pool than a few specific years, while also monitering the number of HOFersI can see some possibilities in that one...
I don't believe we ever did a team MLB draft like we did for the NFL, meaning we pick 1 player from every team...
C - 2
1B - 2
2B - 2
SS - 2
3B - 2
OF - 6
DH - 1
UTIL - 2
SP - 5
RP - 6
Player had to have played a minimum of 600 games for the team you use them for. We can change the number if we decide more or less than 600...
No offense taken, Nos and I have probably done 20 of these, we look for ways to switch it up. You definitely want to have HOF players, but you have to limit it somehow, or you have some guys posting stuff like "how could my team lose", when in reality, none of them should loseI don't like UKs idea at all... Sorry UK... Nos' idea is interesting... My only problem with it is the 30 players, I just think we barely even look at bench and BP as reasons a team wins... It is kind of a waste of 5 rounds of time...
How about make it 28 teams(no rays and diamondbacks) and we draft the 25 players- a Manager, pitchers coach and owner...
