6-0 Nats after 3. Nats scored 1 in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd. I'm not statistician or mathematician, but I think I see a pattern.

Padres offense providing little resistance to JZim through the first 3 innings. 38 pitches so far, most of those by the relief pitcher, oddly enough.

Amarista becomes the first Padres baserunner with a 1 out single in the 6th. I thought for sure he had a shot at the perfecto.

JZim through 6 on 78 pitches. Still an awesome performance so far. I mean, it is the Padres, but still...

JZim strands a leadoff triple (due to a misplayed ball by Werth) to maintain the shutout. Through 7 on 87 pitches, 2 hits & 9 K's.

Good start to the long hard road trip. I said before it started i'd be content with 4-6, thrilled with 5-5 and ecstatic with anything better than 5-5.

Cant compain. Went to the Fairfax Fair last night so i missed the game. I guess that's a good thing. That would have been a buzz kill to see in the 9th and 11th.

Oh man. It was such a great night. Thanks again for the tickets. We pre-pregamed at Red Hot and Blue. 2 dollar beers for happy hour. Then got to the ballpark and went to the Bullpen. Drank a lot more and jammed out. Feel bad for the poor ol lady who sat next to us at the game haha. She asked about you. The game was awesome! Never sat out there before. The ball really does fly off the bats, fun to watch Span and Martin up close. Went back to the Bullpen after the game and got drunker. Went to IHOP. Got home around 3 am.

Haha, that must have been Rosemary. She can get a little rowdy towards the players sometimes, too, you just can't tell because she has such a meek voice. Glad you had fun.
